Yeah, remember first generation AGP 1x wasn't much to shout about coz people were using Matrox Milleniums + Voodoo2 or Voodoo2 SLI.
Only later AGP 2x onwards we saw performance doubling with every product.
The killer application is not there yet many people won't buy it yet, it used to be something from iD ie. doom/quake :P
Driver and OS support isn't built-in yet. By the next version of DX you can see better drivers surely ;)
