i think i wanna look around in paint shop or hardware store liau.. see if they got any pure toluene or not, if not then i think i know of a place with lab supply, wonder if they have any.

check through shell's website, in malaysia seems like they will only sell it to us if we order 20 tonne. 0_o" thats well over 21000Liters of Toluene. Mix 25% with petrol (theory get ron103) and we can mix it with 63000Liter of petrol totaled 84000Liter. It will take me 230 years to finish using it XD

unless you are running on High Compression, highly advanced timing (NA) or High Boost (FI), you are not going to get any benefit from using a high-octane fuel.

yes, thats why it is save to add more right? I read somewhere people test the petrol, stated shell premium petrol has a little over 20% toluene content.

i'm using 4age 20v, basically it needs 100 octane fuel, and yes i do retard the timing myself for the sake of having less knock (if i don't the engine will retard it even more and i lost even more power....)

Tried. No effect on both of my car and my bike.

I tried the acetone for the sake of research and risking my vehicles from deteriorated rubber parts in the fueling system.

acetone = 100 RON ... Platformate = up to 105 RON .... Tops = usually 100 RON ...

* platformate is where naphtha being converted thru a process in platforming e.g reaction with catalyst to boost it's RON values. During the process it will loose a hydrogen as part of the process...the origin of product is clear like water but when it exposed to air it will turn to yellowish color... it will grab atoms e.g oxygen to complete its bond thus changing its appereance.

** Tops is one of the product after crude distilling...lower boiling point than naphtha. Benzene is high...carsinogenic....Use it and your engine will be hot sooner and noise from its knocking is obvious.

***acetone, pour in into a RON engine in a laboratory and you'll get 100 RON. Use as reference to find actual RON for petrol sample

All the above are actually 'cold' when you dip your finger into it but I just dont understand why some of the mechanics like to use it ( petrol ) to wash their hands with it as it's cancerous! You'll not getting it now but in a long run.......

anyone have read or heard any testimonial of adding toluene into cars *IN* malaysia? i've read some writen by foreigners, but it might not be the same in malaysia.

i know toluene is totally (i think) safe to mix with petrol, since its part of the petrol too, but i'm worried that i might got cheated and get a non-pure toluene and hurt my engine... sigh~

might try to add a little on my next tank.. might just pump rm20 for the sake of trying out.... at least its easier to clean up the mess if it crewed up.

for me, i'm still using some rubber hose for petrol line, and using a large amount of alcohol might corrode the fuel line.

plus, using alcohol and you'll need to upgrade the injector since alcohol have different air/fuel ratio compare to normal gasoline for optimum operation, thus ori injector might not cut it.

i work in MTBE plant in gebeng, kuantan. I've tried put mtbe in my bike.. feel more power but my bike became unusually hot.. i've to put more 2t in tank... now performance is better but it consume more fuel than before

MTBE is an oxygenator. Accessive dose of MTBE will definitely cause hot combustion.

v power mahal! heheh ebut.. well.. is the best fuel u can get if u wants to gain horse power and do no mod to anything else...

i tried V-power.. really power. hehe got more milage too... but.. cry wht pump.. RM 50 bucks.. you lost about 3-5 liters compare to ordinary fuel
