[DIY] Superlon + Bitumen

wanna ask ahh.. that bitumen tape is not those double sided that can stick wan ah?
must apply glue summore then only can stick together ?

the bitumen tape is ONE sided.

the SuperLon would require glue in certain areas where's it's bound to move..

i have already done mine long ago
last year to be exact when i got my car
here are the things i used
Insulflex = RM100
Bitumen Strip = RM160
lotsa dunlop glue = forgot how much i used so cannot state the price

but no picture
cause that time i DIY my own without even knowing this website exist (no DIY section)

i did everything the same as pakcik jinkl
except that i even did my dashboard and the firewall
results

so it means that the bitumen strip u stick anywhere, then apply the glue on superlon, stick on top of the bitumen strip?

Guys... I've been looking for this Bitumin stuff.. can PM or post here where u bought it? I am actually more interested in thicker ones instead of 4"... 12" would be great! kekeke

the bitumen tape primary use it to seal air/liquid leaks.
usually for your roof.

that's correct, but we've found other usefulness from the materials too.
just like the bitumen tape.

Ever consider other stuff like Dynamat, Hesovi or others. I'm actually looking around for the best fit.

to consider stuff like dynamat, brownbread, acumat, RAAMmat...

the first thing to look at is ur budget.

a typical sedan door will need TWO pieces of dynamat to cover it

PS : Dynamat is RM100 - 170 *extreme* per piece.

do your maths and watch the jaws drop...

the bitumen tapes are about 4" wide and 10mters long.
you'll need 3-4 rolls, according to forummer jinkl

15-18ft 10mm (RM100-120)
9ft 6mm (RM30-45)
