Do you notice something on this?

This is correct oil filter for 20V:
90915-YZZC6
90915-YZZE2
C6 is using sponge like filter element while E2 is using paper. Could be due to different filter element, E2 is slight taller than C6.
If using a wrong oil filter, perhaps the VVT pulley will die earlier (produce "clack clack" diesel sound)??

Here's the bypass explanation...

If you wait too long to change the oil and oil filter, there is a danger that the oil filter might become plugged. To prevent a plugged oil filter from starving the engine for lubrication, oil filters have a built-in safety device called a “bypass valve.” When the differential pressure across the oil filter element exceeds a predetermined value (which varies depending on the engine application), the bypass valve opens so oil can continue to flow to the engine. But when the bypass valve is open, no filtration occurs. Any contaminants that find their way into the crankcase circulate throughout the engine and act like an abrasive producing accelerated engine wear.

1) When using E2 ...some say the response, the "kick" not as good as C6 ...I can't say much, cuz I never used one... :smokin:

2) C6 it's hard to get, as "they" said, C6 not longer imported or discontinued from Japan... :( :(

But then...E2 still ok to use rather then E1...which clearly too small for 4AG engines...

Note : C5 swap with E1 and C6 swap with E2
 
c6 filtering element looks like zxr250 oil filter..maybe can use that one..high rev engine summore..16.5K rpm..
after reading this topic only i know the oil filter got different type and not suitable for various engine..
now, i change to the correct spec of the filter..
 
hmmm.....that's also what i heard from the spare parts shops that i frequent...said C5 n C6 no longer available...most now is coming in from Thailand....
even B6 filter that I use for my Svt now change to D2 which is made from Thai as well....
