ECU Remap

Ace,
Tuscani9889's ride is shiftronic = tiptronic.

yah, dartango, you are right, need to do dyno before and after .
how much is the dyno cost now a day?

About 100 bucks for 2 runs.

8.8secs was with shiftronic mode, however must be very precise upshift, if not then auto mode is actually same or faster.

hmm..if auto gearbox could get this timing. I wonder what could do for Manual. :)

hmm..I know that..But what if our car with manual test it. I wonder hows the speed.

hi guyz,

Can somebody verify the information in this link?
http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/road_tests/index.htm?id=126

2.0 (1,975cc) four cylinder DOHC ‘Beta’: 105kW (141bhp) at 6,000 rpm; 186Nm (137 lb ft) torque at 2,000 rpm.
2.0 manual: 0-60 8.8 seconds; top speed 129 mph; combined mpg: 35.3; CO2 emissions: 193 g/km (Band D: £165pa VED), IG 10.

My question...
1. Is there a manual Tuscani 2.0?
2. Is shiftronic Tuscani 2.0 consider manual? James's run is also 8.8sec (0-60)
3. How to find out that Tuscani 2.0 on wheel HP is 90 (as per mssg from James)?
4. Regarding the Dyno Run (2 runs)...does that mean 1st run before ECU tuning and 2nd run after ECU tuning...any expiry dates between 1st run & 2nd run??

To answer Dartango Questions :

1. Is there a manual Tuscani 2.0?
2. Is shiftronic Tuscani 2.0 consider manual? James's run is also 8.8sec (0-60)
3. How to find out that Tuscani 2.0 on wheel HP is 90 (as per mssg from James)?

1. Yes - a 5 speed
2. No, its actually consider auto. All Tuscani auto are shiftronic. Actually means my car has improved since my car is disadvantaged with autobox, hot weather, sunroof, climate control....compare to the UK standard manual
3. Get babyprecious to do a dyno :)
4. Dunno, need to ask the shop

err.. i saw babyprecious name appear in Tuscani9889 reply in item 3.. hehehe.. infact i used to hang out in links but have never thought put my baby up for dyno run

dartango.. fyi, there is one & only tuscani manual on the road.. but is 2.7, red in color, reg. no. 80.. i drove that car before.. hehehe

I personally driven the auto before. I felt there is a lot of power difference between 2 of them auto and manual.

New update

My fuel consumption has got worse about 10%. Apparently not supposed to be like that. I am sending for adjustment when korean 'sifu' coming to KL next week.

Ace, i have the same thought before I talk with those ECU tunner. apparently they give different explanation, which is conflict with James' find out.

James, hope that you can get the problem solved or ask for refund.

BS,
If you are getting more power without consuming more fuel means that your car is not tuned optimise where there is some power loss. In another words mean you are only getting back what you have lost with that kind of fuel consumption. Law of physic can't be wrong.
