To all EF sifus..guess u all had a similar prob as mine..my glove-box had broken its hinges and right now there is a "lompong" at my dashboard...:D i know its lame coz u guys talk bout vtec and all but it is irritating to see the "lompong"..so Sifu's..can i just put a new hinges or can find new glove box at chop shop or wat..:D

hey bro..mine broke too..used super glue ..worked for about a week and gave way again.Finally had to buy a used one from chop shop..Takatsuki at segambut has loads and has got a few shade of color...cost bout rm60-70..good luck

oh.... mine is the aircond vent broken, also the aircond controller. now using modified knob to switch the aircond on/off and the fan speed. damn.... EF dash stuffs are so fragile.

my aircond controller panel oso pecah la hadto glue it back. and the controller also, can only adjust to medium and max only. he he

EF plastics are more fragile if u put under the care of Mr. Hot-Sun... my experience la

last time when my car park inside everything was fine, no interior noise or cracks or plastics break/malfunction.....

but after 10 yrs, havto park outside edi...old car mar....then things started 2 break...crack n bend....2 x central locks oso malfcuntion edi, window switch, haih glove box....

Disc Brake

Hi EF sifu,

i want to swap my rear brake do disc brake convertion. Which model can fixed it. EF,EG..or ... Need help la...how much the stuff....at chop shop.

EF EG EK can oso fit...rear brakes conversion mostly around 400-500 including parts.

can i use the EG6 hydraulic Gbox system in EF?
what is the cost like to convert from cable clutch to hydraulic clutch?

I still have the rear disk from my EF8 halfcut last time lying around. RM450. I *THINK* cables also still there . PM me.

My mech did one last month. Before that, the EF was collecting dust for few months coz the 1st place he went couldn't do the job.
It's lots of hassle, but the project turns out great ! Mounting looks like ori !

EG/EK/DC2/DC5/EP3 hafcut can fit into EF with no hassle. as for the conversion of cable clutch to hydraulic - it will take a lot of work, but worth the waiting. As for the mounting, i would recommend to order mountings from hasport. it is quite expensive but i could say the best mounting ever made for EF/EG/EK conversion

a good example of EF9 - DC2 engine transplant is from the BEST MOTORING vcd. cant remember which volume but the title is VTEC 10,000rpm. a car less than 1000kg with a 200hp engine - sweet.
