hey dev, ur blue paint is temp proof? haha looks like it, cos the bottle is abit different. when u open up, hows ur apex seal looking? must learn from you how to take out the parts mate

Hey eric,

Yup its hi-temp paint. I'm using Duplicolor paint which is good for approximately 205 degrees celcius. Lets see how it keeps up.

phat7, nice paint job.
how did u cover the parts you do not want to get the paint on? mind sharing?

Thanks Blacksamurai. I use off the shelf masking tape. it is tedious to cover specific parts but there is a method. hard for me to explain. perhaps when we meet i'll show you.

at this juncture i would like again to thank the rotary gurus Glen aka Rotormaster and Kace aka Portablaster for the unwavering support without which this project would have never got started.

i'll post up more pics.

better not forget to thank my wife. here are somemore after using nverdull which retains polished surface. i used this in university to clean warches.

yo Dave,

you using a Cosmo engine ? doesn't look the same as mine :P

or i'm dreaming..... seeing the wrong thing..

nolah. i'm using cosmo upper intakes and lower manifold coz its bigger. Only setback is to port the fd iron housings to mate the manifolds perfectly. that process was also the scariest as if you "over port" can say bye bye to housings and have to get new ones.

wow..
looks really really shining man...*bling*

i bet ya u`ve been having good nite sleeps..haha

btw,
how does the engine oil get circulated?
just curious.. or running on dry sump?

cheers dude. when you coming back?

Sadly, at the end of the year ay :X-: Money's hard to come by u know? Esp when you're a uni student. My measly 16 hours of part time work just isn't bringing in the $$. But once again, Great effort man, RE club Represent! :_:

aiyaarrkk!!! stimmm lorrr looking at the blings*... wanna go to the toilet for a while. dont wait up yeah.

hey dev, how much money u spend on those apex seal and other gasket? wanna have the rough idea how much do i need to spend to do a rebuild on the apex seal(means i will still use back the housing but replacing the apex seals n other necessary seals).
1. apex seal + spring
2. side seal
3. housing gasket
4. ??
5. ??

total overall i've budgeted 30k inclusive of turbine. Everything brand new. rebuilding cost approximately 7k due to the fact that i wanted to get best compression numbers (reduced blowby on boost)

Bastardos- i take that as a compliment!! stay away from the engine :)

Thanks desmond mate!! coming from you it really means alot!!

Ps: i'll also need you to intro me the PRC hoochie mama!!
