For what mitsu is this ECU

hello...im new in this forum and i find this very helpful in my lancer project...

i do not know where to post this but i hope someone among you can answer my query...

I got a surplus engine 4G93 DOHC N/A and an ECU with a pen markings which says its for 4G93...but searching your forum i found out 4G93 DOHC ECU is either 5537 or 2466

can anyone tell me for what engine is ECU number 7781? (MD 197781) Will this work with my said engine...

7781 is JDM ecu for 4G93 1.8 single cam(SOHC) engine. i doubt that it will work, as the ecu works with distributor system, while your engine has distributorless system...

but u can try and see if the engine can fires up...

Local 4G93 DOHC ECU have few type.

5537 MMC ECU - Step 0 (Can't be rechip but more agressive)
-Wira 1.8 LE (produce during year 95 to mid 97 only)
-Putra first batch (year 97)

0450 APM/MMC - Step 1 (Can be rechip but less agressive compare to Step 0)
-SGTi first batch (year 99)
-Putra (year 98-99) and (relaunch 2000-2002)
-Wira 1.8 PERT Edition

2468/1234 APM/MMC ECU - Step 1 (Same as 0450)
-SGTi (year 2000-2001)

Rest all SGTi after 2001 is Siemens ECU

7781/6501 is 4G93 SOHC

hello again...

i've finally put in my 4G93 DOHC n/a...

you're right, 7781 is for soch..i tried to fire up the engine using this ecu but it did not fire up...

i couldn't find 5537 ECU, instead I am using 5660 from 4G91 dohc...my engine (4G93 dohc) is running fine using this ECU (5660)...

I saw in the posts that I can also use 1234 ecu...i saw one of this in a chop shop...
What gains will i get If i use this 1234 ecu in a 4G93 dohc?...and what is APM?

For 4G93P 1.8 SOHC (A) the ECU code is 5536.

Just wondering what is the different between 5537 and 5536 - can 5536 be used for 4G93 DOHC engine.

i couldn't find 5537 ECU, instead I am using 5660 from 4G91 dohc...my engine (4G93 dohc) is running fine using this ECU (5660)...

Talking about 5660 ecu from 4g91, Can it be rechip?? I use this type of ecu but never open inside it. Can somebody confirm it......

6123 ecu is from JDM 1.8 DOHC 4G93 eterna chasis. u also can be try with this ecu. Hope can help.

...hey friends...i recently got hold of a 6123 ECU...i fired up my engine usign this ecu, but it has a very rough idle at first , if i rev the engine after sometime, idle becomes OK...

...when I use 5660 ECU, i do not experience this very rough idle after starting...

what cound be possible problems with the rough idle with 6123 ecu..?

Inline4 ECU how to plug in to V6 ?? ur engine will run on 4 cylinder only :D

1234 is for SGTi 1.8 MMC ECU. Within SGTi MMC batch Proton putted 0450 (first), 2468 (2nd) & 1234 (3rd)...i guess different is not the mapping...

if nothing wrong when plug in 5660 ... it possible on airflow sensor.
maybe u need to change the air flow sensor to bigger / smaller size ( depand on sensor number i.e 494 etc ).
