buying online is alwiz a tricky biz...to me, there are certain limits s to wat i wud pay online if i am going to be paying first before seeing the goods...but buying rims and stuff wud be way off the limit...it's too dangerous...no offense to genuine sellers, but hey, it's the few rotten apples that will spoil the whole basket...

Hence, i wud suggest that we shud all adopt a certain standard IMHO...like sellers, they shud provide a more secure method of transaction especially for high value products...like COD of something...

it's a greedy world out there...like the case supra fanatics brought up, even face to face car test drives can turn sour...n good thing he got it back.

i do hope aaroncc here gets to do something about the case...but if not, let it be a lesson to all to be extra careful. but if u find that s*cker, let us know alrite...haha

be smart i dont understand why need to buy from japan @ oversea when u dont really see the real condition. is it worth??? THINK TWICE @ MANY MANY TIMES.

buy from reputable seller or someone u or ur friends know... google search the "hp number" and u will get some info about the seller.

Thanx for the feedbacks, i've made the biggest mistakes. This is huge lesson and a big loss , dint really see this coming. Will be extra extra cautious next time. I will update if theres any progress on catching the conman. Wish me luck ~~~

it is really dangerous to pay the money before you see the goods...
when they disappeared, very hard to find them.
and some more if they are "stronger"....

Actually, I got my rims from this Steve.
It was about a year ago. Found him in ZTH Marketplace back then.

I personally went to the warehouse (Wisma Lee Hoe) in Kepong to deal with him.
Collected my rims from there too.

Ermm... Everything seems good back then.

sorry to hear, but i would just like to raise another issue.

there has been countless "buyer paid, but seller default" case here in zth. even me, i've read it 10000 times. and somehow, u guys still trust these unknown sellers, with pretty much "0 posts" and "joined so recent" by banking in the money into their account and wait anxiously for your "promised" goods to arrive?

honestly, just COD. thats the safest and best way. even COD there are frauds.

just my 2 cents. read these kinda things too often already.

Mudah.my is quite common if u really bought from there. Other than Paypal system like Ebay, I hardly will pay 1st before getting that item. I would ask for COD or no deal.

I thought like ebay and all, got to pay first then only they send. I seldom buy online except Groupon so far....

Mudah claim they got certain safety system for buyer, "if" buyer use it or something. Try to check with the admins and could get some info like IC or address. I just recently placed ad on mudah but it seems like less security vs last time when I posted sum old items. At least last time need to key in IC while now just phone no can d. I guess there's lots of risks for buyers that's why our country is very slow in developing this online sales, mainly due to these scammers giving bad reputation to potential online buyers.
