Fuel regulator setting

kk, yes the 450cc injectors can support up 250whp but get better fuel pump and a FPR ler ..

Try GT Auto for tuning your SAFC, saw a GSR gain about 10hp with a dyno tuned SAFC.
thanx again.

but i'm thinking to put in evo 510cc injector only go dyno tuning. the top end power is seen 450cc not enough for my setup now and somemore i flow my vr4 injector jus only get around 420cc not even reach to 450cc..? why like that?

my original injector is around 380cc...

dunt 100% max out ur injectors, u r just asking for trouble. so if i am not mistaken, you have: AFC/ fuel regulator/big injectors. to make all of it work u are using high pressure, low AFC gain, and nearly maxing out ur injectors to get proper tune.

why not: lower the fuel regulator pressure, up the AFC back to normal and put in bigger injectors? use the regulator and injectors in tandem to get a fair tune and then use the AFC to fine tune over the rpm range. at least in this way your system not under high strain. and why are you scared of the EGT temp going up? how many deg C is ur target temp? do u know if you running rich or lean?

all this can be answered by a dyno session with diagnostics.

good luck.

hi kenboy,

is true. the EGT is hard for me to know whether is rich or lean. but is goin up to 875cc during 7000rpm in four gear. my target is somewhere 850cc reading in EGT

thinking to put in evo injector and reduce my fuel pressure regulator. so tat i can play around in the SAFC

kk, check if your car can take the evo injectors. A lower flow rate for your injector can indicate that its clogged or leaking. But 420cc seems normal for a 450cc injector.. taking into account the age and normal wear & tear. Maybe you can get it cleaned, serviced, balanced and flow tested.

You should also target a particular AFR a not EGT Temp. Say your tuner set a 11.5 AFR for you and tune your car based on this. You should then check your EGT on the readings at boost. That will be your EGT target. Any lower or higher temp will indicate some problem.

As kenboy guru said go dyno and once and for all clear your worries

Please do not use EGT as benchmark for rich or lean rather merely as indication of A/F efficeincy.

Reason being an EGT reading is affected by ignition timing.

Secondly, hi EGT temp does not mean lean A/F as commonly believed.

joeker,

very true, thats why doing a diagnostics check and knowing what settings you have on the car is very important. if you did not adjust anything and the EGT temp goes up..then you know somewhere somehow something has changed.

thats why the target EGT temp is very important. u as the owner of the car will have to know, at XXX static ignition setting, with the piggyback at setting D, with Y.Y bar fuel regulator and HHH cc injectors, with 99.9 AF ratio, with such and such intake at 9.9 bar boost ----->my EGT temp is ....say....800 deg C on constant WOT. you cannot set this target temp. your tuner will give you the target temp. if u did not usik anything and suddenly the EGT temp moves...you know something is not right. thats what an EGT is for.

thanks for all your advise...

i'll forget about the EGT reading anyway. will go dyno to check out my Air fuel reading.

so 1 more question? do you think i should get Evo 510cc injector before i go dyno tuning of my SAFC+fuel regulator?

i don't want to go second time because the injector not enough supply? as my setup now is using 200LPH ++ fuel pump but is intank...
