High Performance Camshafts

jus wana know how much isit for 4G93T?
and u guys do swapping right? sumthin like Matspeed, we got to gif our cams den they will re-profile it, in a way same thing goes for u guys, swapping wif the ready made cams. and how high is the highest degree 93T can go? and wht is the outcome? pick up? top speed? mid range?
TQ

hi...wondering how much it would cost to install 272 cams on my 4G92 SOHC...

272 cams would work fine with the mitsu ECU right? coz ive heard of idling problems with the siemens on 272 cams...

Need Advice

Powerzone,

Just to ask on what to change 1st and the impact on WIRA1.5,

(i) Change Camshaft with ori cam pulley
(ii) Change adjustable cam pulley
(iii) Change camshaft with adjustable cam pulley

Mind to advice what is the impact on the 3 condition and which to go 1st.

P/S : How the the air intake manifold from powerzone...any effect for wira1.5 VDO ? I heard no effect...please clarify....

Thanks

;)

with the adjustable cam pulleys u can fine tune ur cams to the optimum powerband...

It's RM1800 with exchange (we usually have ready stock so we can install immediately).
For turbo engine it's better to go for low-mid range torque before the turbo boost comes in at the higher rpm. We've 264 deg. cams, not too high. Also, standard gear ratios can't maximise high cam (270 above) performance.
Pick-up is prominent along with good pulling even in 3rd gear, and also high speed gain.

since no reply on my Qeus...

cam pulley...i heard from a mech.

adjustable cam pulley with ori cam shaft : only able to adjust to get a good pick up but not high end....

adj. cam pulley with Powerzone cam shaft : then able to get 30-40% power....

izzit true ?

all above is meant on WIRA1.5 VDO Engine......

powerzone : thankz bro for ur info

soudnstream : adjustable cam pulley wif ori cam shaft is able to adjust pick and top speed also. means u got to sacrifice one of them. if u want pick up den sacrifice high end or vice versa.

Bro,

THANks for the info....yeah that's what i know also.......but...

how much izzit??

thanks..

any hicam for h22a vtec? how much cost?
do i need to tuning after install? how much power gain?

any effect if install to auto gear h22a vtec engine?

So sorry man, must've missed your posting! Too many stars, you don't know which one you're looking at. Tried that before?
Anyway, adj. cam pulley on ori cam can only shift the max. power band, not actually adding more power. E.g. to enhance bottom end torque, you can advanced the cam timing (preset the adj. pulley to advanced position), and to improve hi-end power (but loses low end) the cam is retarded. Amount of shift not more than +/- 6 deg. measured at the crank. Incidentally, Toyota VVT employs this technique, but with the added advantage of being variable, i.e. initially cam is advanced (for low end power), and gradually it's retarded to get better hi-end power, see? But, of course, the power difference is not that great (compared with VTEC or MIVEC).
With PZ cams, we already get improved low-mid range torque plus hi-end! So, adj. pulley is not required.

Indeed, we have, but stock is out at the moment, should come in sometime next 2 weeks.
Costs RM1250 installed with exchange.

Oh sorry, we don't have any for this model.

COOL MAN...thanks for the info....
now i get it......forget abt the adj. cam pulley...go for CAMSHAFT......
but how abtthe manifold intake from PZ ?
i heard ain't no different if put it on the wira2002 VDO....is that true ? as they say the ori. manifold intake is enuff.......

can you clarify it ?

thankss...

The custom intake manifold that we make have larger plenum chambers that are at least 80% the volume of the engine cc. So, if you have a 1.5 liter engine, a 1.2 liter plenum chamber is made for it. This is to ensure sufficient air reserve when the throttle is suddenly cracked wide open.
Whether your engine needs this is dependent on its volumetric efficiency (V.E.). Most standard engines have rather low V.E., maybe about 70-80%, and so will not benefit from a larger plenum chamber.
Our custom manifold also features the proven bell-mouth installation. Every individual intake track at the plenum chamber has its own bell-mouth. This helps to gather more air and produces better flow especially at higher rpm.
We'd say standard engines don't need this custom manifold, and we don't really recommend it, but for modified engines running higher duration cams, it'll help at the higher rpm.
