Hey ppl, kinda noob here.
But does anyone here know whether a b16a engine could fit into a honda prelude 1.8 2nd generation (1983) ? Want to degrade it because of petrol consumption. any advice?

Most of the Honda engine able to fix into Prelude, even H22A. But, u need to modify on the engine mounting.
Of coz, injection will have better fuel consumption compare with twin cabby.
However, is good to enjoy handling on 2nd generation Prelude.

hmmm...modify engine mounting would mean that jpj would not approve? advice anyone? i really want to know if a b16a is usable in a 1983 prelude and of course with jpj approval =)

yess it sure can fit 1.two 2nd gen here with b16 and one with b18.one more standard twin carb and thats me.huh.
jpj sure approve for both b16 n b18 wan.no prob at all.but for h22a i not so sure.

downgrade from h22a to b16a, u will loose low end torque... ur car wont be nippy and easy to drive... but ur mid to high rpm will be much more fun and revvy...
