Hie bros.I'm planning to mod my current hood with vents.Any bros here know which shop does a good work? Thanks a lot.Cheers!

shops to recommend, i dunno lar... coz not from KL..
anyway, how u wanna mod ur hood??... something like evo??.. or mira style with air scoop??...

I'm just want a plain vents near to the extractor area..something like the j's racing hood.Cheers!

Wat car u driving. i recommend just get a c/f hood wif vents lor. Don waste ur money go add vents to ur ori hood. It is not cheap doin so. somemore ur hood will be damn heavy if alot of the mud is needed to smoothen the surface. Also if the workmanship not so good, ur hood will look horrible. Thats my experience. hehe.

Hie bro. Thanks for your advice.I'm driving honda crx ef8 but hard to comeby for a vented carbon hood so just get a local shop to mod some vents near to the header area.Cheers!

i also looking for cheap cf hood for iswara... but no one seem to be interested producing it.... same goes for rear antiroll bar... no one seem to be interested to produce it.... sad sad... look down on saga iswara... sad sad sad...

greyrex,

U looking for real hood vent or just the paste-on-top hood vent? if real ones, then there will be alot of work to be done. If paste-on-top hood vent, you can buy them from fibreshop. Sunway area may have them.....

Hie bros. Thanks for your info.About the hood vents,i wanted the real ones...in other words...make some space or hole around the hood and put up some vents.Cheers!

I did mine at very reasonable price & very good workmanship. Unfortunately we are staying far a part, otherwise I would recommend you to my friend.

Where your friend location bro? Labuan or Kota Kinabalu? really nice air vent u got there....................

err... a question in my mind.. how if raining.. let say now raining season ... got any side effect to the engines??

at that position, i guess the rain water will flow to the radiator and condensor.... thus, helping it to cool down the radiator even more.... more info about this can ask mr.bear.... his honda has custom hood vents which he claims will never wet the engine....

I have driven many times during heavy rain, it fine.

Yup, my vent is Kenari vent, but it looks like the new Subaru WRX vent:regular_smile:

You will have look at the position of your extractor, make sure the rain water will not drop onto your hot extractor. Mine is just above the radiator & extractor is slightly behind.

When the car move, the rain water wont drop down as the wind from the front grill will blow it thru the vent together with the hot air. The worry is when the car is stop, the rain water may drop onto your extractor. So, check your extractor position before you install the vent.

The vent really help as I can feel the hot air coming out from the vent. Even a short distance driving after cold start, the air from the engine bay is very hot. The vent will help reduce the heat in the engine bay:regular_smile:

BTW, I'm staying in Labuan, regular go to KK. Next week I'll in KK & Kota Belud with my Focus. But now have to very carefull when taking ferry to mainland... my new skirting is quite low
cheers:X-:

if u cant avoid the extractor, best use a heatshield.... at least the stuff that cracks isnt ur extractor.... hehehehe....
