sure kenari got some issued.. but not for preve.. for CITY LATIO better
Issued? don't understand.sure kenari got some issued.. but not for preve.. for CITY LATIO better
The obedience it provides, it makes up for the lack in handling. I can see potential in alza, although it may lose a little in cornering speed. body structure stiffness is not bad. In Dog Fight the result can change anytime.
Preve on the other hand, to me, doesn't quite able to communicate with the driver, Turbo version in particular, doesn't have manual, causing driver control could not achive 100 %, and turbo only emphasis on acceleration part, and there always be a slight lag whenever you accel from mid speed, and will be a burden when it comes to downhill, and will cause preve to exhaust even before ending the session. Due to no manual version for turbo, with the CVT, your accel pedal concentration will be more to keep the turbo spooling on the right torque rather than maximise tyre grip when going out of a corner. and the same time you will need to keep the turbo to spool at the right amount of torque at the Perfect timing, Weight will play a HUGE part on this as well, My ultimate goal is to get the maximum tyre track and wheel base, while achieving the lowest weight at the same time.
So far Alza is doing well in test session, resulting in quite neutral cornering ability, need to start playing around with tyre pressure some more to find the perfect contact patch for the tyre.
However this is only my opinion and findings, may vary to others, so inputs are welcome. Thx!
buy city... it is better

Neo infact.. is really nice... but too bad.. no more production
alja cannot one laa....slow car, kona time terbalik.....
Fstr track this MPV for christ sake! Legend...legend...Ask him to teach u ahha

nmgh....
yes its true, fstr is really fast in his alza, was behind him during TTA track day was unable to catch up with him.![]()
unker brought his fav quote to zth now...
your car also can't chase?

You're the first person.. eh wait. No. Second person that I know that has said the Alza can corner. Are you driving the manual version or auto? The insane Fstrader @ fstr is using his AUTO Alza for races and stuff. I haven't heard about him winning anything yet though but he's happy doing what he does. You're a very close second!
How do you get around the lack of low and mid power for the Alza? Lugging around all that weight in the 1.5 engine is quite a challenge for me and it's even worse with passengers. I dunno man. Personally I don't fancy the Alza over the Preve at all.
I've come across a pretty interesting tuned Preve that is very responsive and stock suspension alone is already quite sufficient. They have launched the manual variant right? I recall the LE was supposed to have a manual. Either way they've already announced it, sooner or later they'll have a manual if it isn't out already. 6-speed too.
That's not saying you made a bad choice, every car enthusiast buys a car because they are happy with the car. It's obvious you're happy with your choice. What mods have you done it already?
I got the auto version. You are right, I was thinking the same issue as you mentioned, How on earth am i going to bring all that weight into the corner and out? That was until i got into test drive for both Preve turbo and alza. Putting aside the torque ability for both car first, as both has similar effect. After test session, by looking at the suspension set up, for sure preve has better suspension set up as rear multilink is always wins over dead axle. Excluding a dead weight at the rear for the preve would means lighter rear section, that could translate to immediate effect of suspension wise respond during cornering, backed up by a strong engine, mid corner is no problem.
However, we must not forget that total car weight plays a huge roll that decides the ability of the car to get out of the corner, as we all know, lighter body weight with higher body structure stiffness is the best, the lighter and stiffer the best. However, for street wise, we must not ignore left right cornering ability, heavier weight could decrease the ability of the car's reaction during these situation. inability to settle back to neutral after one corner to enter the next corner during race could simply means more input from the driver towards steering angle adjustments. which means loss in speed, time.
Therefore, alza is chosen based on these configurations consideration, although it may not have the immediate response of a rear multilink suspension, with an axle, it could also do well with the addition of rrear stabilizer bar. after test session, steering respond is not bad, in my oppinion is not far from preve's cornering. what i do like is the fact that it is lighter than preve. i have more room to play in alza, body structure is quite stiff, not bad.
So far for me on how to compensate for alza's lack in mid torque, for alza, once you have reached the powerband, do not let it go down, if you let it drop below powerband, you will have problem getting it back up again, it all comes down to how you use you line to keep that power band, if you can do that, alza is a very good car.
Welcome more input on this, Cheers!
