damnmachine, IMHO, the HU u plan to get (5650) is pretty good to me. and components are way better, but must run with amps preferably la to get full potential. if u want a complete, yet simple setup, u can try getting a HU first, then components + 2ch amp for front, and a sub in the trunk + 2ch/mono amp. 5650 HU has 2 preouts, should be enough. cheers!

Clarion DB415? i think should be no problem runnning the comps

but u wanna run 4 comps? actually, i think front 1 pair comp set enough liow. back u can choose to leave empty, or just put a smaller comp set, or just mids. back fill can cont run from HU, while the front later u upgrade to amp, will sound much better, and drive speakers to full potential.

even without amp, straight from HU, sure got sound la. :P cheers

anywayz, whats the diff between the two size of the comp set?? one is 6" the other is 5", whats the diff??

haha, gavan, the components difference in size is: Orange 6 is about 6.5", Orange 5 is about 5.25". u can see the difference by the design also, Orange 6 the mid is totally round (frame), while the Orange 5 got 4 edges around the frame. so, when u wanna get some Mohawk lovin' for yr car? :lol:

hehe, of course la the 6" is better, as it can handle more power. U can play louder and yet maintain clarity, as compared to the 5". Orange 5 is good, but Orange 6 is better. ;)

cheh, ive just bought orange series 6.5" component set in taman sri muda last week, for RM390.00 plus installation.... a bit too late i guess.
SQ quite impressive for these budget speakers... No regrets.
