the valve i think not so difficult to service.
normally i will do some service by myself if not difficult.
may i know the manual boost controller u all buy how much? cause some sell very cheap. some sell over hundred something. have ppl told me the cheap 1 is fake d, from china.
fake also can use?

Actually boost controller is a very simple device. What it actually does is to bleed the vacuum in the amount you want. Better MBC can have more fine tune adjustment. Some actually use aquarium control valve to do it. They call it "boost controller tulang ikan".

I used imitation TURBOSMART one before. It was terrible. It cannot be adjust after some time. I don't know why. My boost dropped to stock boost after a year. Worse, I was charged RM180 with installation!

Now I am using Aerospeed. Can't recall, it was around RM200. It has 32 clicks and can fine tune the boost level.

If you ask me, get the better one cos it will last you a long time.

fake 1 also charged rm180 with installation? wah...the workmanship fee so expensive.
install MBC also need install with the meter gauge, if not do not know how high the boost.
but my side here the guy say after install MBC need do dyno test to tune the MBC, cannot simply tune. is it correct?

Yes, last time I dunno about turbo cars and got slaughter alive. Well, learn from mistakes then.

Yes, you need presence of boost meter to tune your boost controller.

MBC adjustment don't need dyno. A bit exeggerate la.... just drive and test to get the proper level. Stock is 0.6 bar. It is safe to tune below 1 bar with minimal mods. Mine with bolt-on mods only were at 1.2 bar for 3 years. No problemo!

u tune by self?

Yes. Just turn the boost to lowest. Drive n increase slowly until yr preferred boost level.

atr stock is 0.7 bar.each click is 0.1 bar.clockwise is lower the boost.from there turn anti clockwise n each click is 0.1bar...

oic...then may i know the MBC is install at which part of the engine?have any pic? who car same with me is stock?

some tips wanna share. base on my experience, better to install the MBC with shortest reasonable route of hose. dont go to far as the boost regulate will come abit late and quite less stable.

You cleaned the MAF? With what?

Honestly, you should not touch it. Yes, when I say touch, means physical contact. That thing is super fragile. If you really have to clean it, you need to buy MAF cleaner to spray on it. NO NO NO TOUCHING...

I mounted the MBC near the radiator.

oic..yesterday i saw the hose.
because i see very dirty n oily when i open the air filter. i use the contact cleaner, can use on any electronic or electrical items. i have use for wash my sentra also, my sentra no problem.

Ah Wah (whose the famous Airtrek & Evo mech in KL) told me that he himself, dares not touch the MAF sensor. That is why when it's dirty, he just leaves it. Anyway, some members took the risk to clean it and they get better positive result like better FC.

The spot is a famous spot to mount MBC. Ah Wah put all of em there. Easy to reach too.

how about the boost meter hose? need to connect same hose with the MBC?
ya very sensitive , thats why cant use hand or finger to touch but safety is use spray to clean.

Best vacuum/boost reading will be from the fuel rail to thorttle body hose. I tap from there. Most accurate boost reading.
