hello bros ..i need sum explanation on gearbox ration...when they say first gear or final gear or 2,3,4 ratio? can someone please explain to me? thanks to the sifus

hhohoh...noobie here lorr...i jus wanted to know..how it helps enhance the power of the car if it does?? say for the b series engine?? mind explaning..i googled it...but i dun seem the understand it quite yet... hehe
