O/D slow engaged..

im using 4age 16v... auto trans... it takes about 10 sec to engage... sometime i need to press pedal twice then the O/D will respon... what could be the culprit? anyone?

try checking the tension for the cable connecting your accelerator to yr gearbox. it could be loose thats y the delay in dropping gears when u floor it. dont over tighten or gear shifts will become very jerky during normal drive.

Do u service ur transmission fluid regularly? Maybe replace new ATF filter will help too. Juz my 2cents, hope this will help:)

If u not sure/newbie where the location, maybe the best way send it to ur mech workshop or if u don't have any; find a reputable workshop nearby.
