Hi,

i want to provide information for those looking to balance front and rear wheels using on wheel balancing method. I have been going to this workshop for sometimes now and it is excellent. The boss is a friendly chap, I paid RM60 for alignment and front-rear on wheel balancing

They provide rear wheel on-wheel balancing which is quite rare to be found in tyre shops in KL. Check out the pictures and videos below for reference.

This is the machine being used to balance rear wheels, the round steel at the bottom of the machine is used to spin the rear wheels:

I forgot the name of the tyre shop but the approximate location is:
32 Jalan Sri Selayang
68100 Batu Caves

It is located next to spare parts shop and taman selayang post office, u will see there is only one tyre shop on that row

hope this helps

Hi bro..thanks for sharing the information... However, there is a shop in sea park offering the same services for RM 15.... The services is very good and the boss is a very experience guy (find out for the most old guy in the shop)...let me know the if you all need the address...

There is this guy offering the same services in Ipoh at RM10. Look for this guy called Gou Lou (tall guy). He's very good at this. His workshop is between a shell station and Chung Shan school along Jalan Datoh, Ipoh.

will this kind of balancing will stop vibration cause by spacer?

Yes, it can, but depends on what type of spacers too.
Problem with on wheel balancing, is once balance, then the moment you remove the wheels the balancing will usually run.

For FWD, usually no need to on wheel balance to the rear wheel and they usually do not vibrate even if slightly out of balance. Symptoms of rear wheel out of balance is the car body will vibrate.
Steering vibrate is front wheel problem....

Errmmmm i never heard about Ruby cinema... wher isit???

Unker like me and older folks will know, because cinema stop operation long ago. Was used as a Church for a few years after that stop also. Now empty, seems they want to redevelop the area.

Thank god someone can answer my question, currently iam using 1inch spacer without ring on the rear wheel of my car,180sx,the problem it starts to vibrate aroun 100kmh,if on wheel balancing can reduce this problem,it would be great.

the vibration is not that bad, but i sense the rear speaker board vibrating.:driver:

1 inch spacer means your type is the lock on type? Spacer with lug screws?
Can't you get bigger offset rims which will be better.

Benefit of on wheel is it balances everything that is connected. During on wheel balancing look at the wheel rotation. Make sure it is rotating nicely. If can see the tyres going up and down, check for tyre for uneven wear or whether the tyres were mounted correctly. If tyres does not bead perfectly this can happen and needs to be remounted. Check rims for dents too....

this type of spacer, i dont think the rims are dented because before this it works perfectly without vibration. yeah i bought a new rims and havent had a chance yet to install it since iam working overseas.maybe next year when i get back home.the gap between the rear fender is good, but not hella flush yet, just surveying the thought of add the old spacer and go wide fender at the back.

but thanks for the opinion, appreciate it.

Yup, this is the spacer type I am referring to. Some of this type of spacer do have the center ring molded in, so it fits the rims perfectly.
If you have vibration after fitting the spacers, could be due to the offset. Wheels hanging further out.
