Hi I am new here, I have a 2002 SAAB Aero that I believe has a TD04HL turbine?
The engine code is B235R, I THINK the part number for the Turbo is 49189-01800 but not sure, the turbo is dying, lots of carbon around the exhaust tip, oil present in the pressure side, not blowing blue smoke at idle yet but using lots of oil.

For now I just want to find the cheapest, easiest means of replacing the turbo. Do I buy a 'cartridge'? from Mitsubishi? I have been told it is a CHRA ? or should I be looking to replace the complete unit?
I am confused with the the thought that I always understood it was a Garrett turbo not a Mitsubishi. I know they used Mitsubishi turbos on the earlier 9000 Aero models.:nurse:

Any help would be really appreciated, thanks from a novice,
David
