why we need to convert this? i'm just interested to know. because i had a problem with wiring when i convert to b16b year 2000 engine. the mechanic ask me to buy ek9 dashboard to overcome the problem. is this socket conversion is the solution for my problem now?

Weird, dash board wiring is separate one. Even if u change the engine to B16B and maintain ur old dashboard wiring, it will be ok one. I think even you change to B16A ECU the problem will still remain. Better check with other foreman.
