Satria Neo steering problem

Hi all,

i am currently having an issue with my satria neo steering whereby theres a lot of free play and it is very unstable while driving as if the road is uneven, the car will sway by itself.. i went to 3 mechanics and all 3 said that its a "steering-rack bush" that needs to be replaced as it is bending everytime i turn. but i went to 4 - 5 sparepart shops and all dont have the part and they said that i have to change the whole steering rack as this fibre bush comes as part of the rack.to get a new rack, it cost RM1500.. .. recon rack cost almost RM700..if anyone knows where i can get the steering rack bush from or if you've had this similar issue, please advice how you solved it. thank you.

not all sparepart carry that item bro as it does not profit them...

why don't u go for super pro? does they have steering rack bush for neo?

i know that the evo rack can fit into wira/putra and the old satria. not sure if it can fit the neo.

no more warranty bro.. its a 2006 car. then time when i bought only got 3 years warranty.

bro, i've faced similar problem like u. my neo steering rack oil ring pecah. dem and its costly but you can go to G CAR CARE at jalan klang lama to ask for consultation. might get cheaper price there.

or
if its confirm the nylon rack end, take the rack to a machine shop and have one machined to be press fit..heard it work just fine after that.

Super Pro is an aftermarket bushings manufacturer. I know the name sounds weird but from what I have heard, they are pretty good.
