are u in singapore bro..?? bcoz both car the price is similiar... m3 is around 300++ for 2002 or 2003 model s204 is around 290+ or 300 around that ... ..

Avoid the 2002 models, do a search on the intraweb, and note how many engine failures it has. The newer cars (05/06) are more reliable.

Also, have you been in a SMG M3? it feels like sh1t in stopNgo traffic.


With that budget, why not go for a 335i? it has the steptronic if you need the auto, it's much smoother than the smg. It still has a torque converter, but it locks up much more, so losses are cut to a minimum. Look at dyno charts for the steptronics and manual 335i, they are pretty similar. (I've test driven one, it's good, but nothing comes close to the fun of a real manual)

Lastly, it'd be just as fast as the both on the streets (track is a different thing), but much more comfortable. You want power? get a xede chip from america, 50 extra horses, just like that!

i am having the same dilemma and i am leaning towards S204 as this is my fun car.
