Hi Guys,
Anyone using taiwan made headlamps? Am talking bout stock looking headlamps, not those projector type. Thinking bout changing cos mine is already yellow. Wonder if i can get any feedbacks here.
Thanks

you can actually go to any spare part shop and ask them for the price. it's cheaper than ori stanley... but if u'r planning to keep ur car for a long time... better get stanley la. u'll get that 'ori' JDM feeling heheh

Type R will be expensive.....of course....NICE. hahaha. bro, u can judge from the price you pay. so choose wisely.

Thanks for the feedback guys. It is definitely cheap, found for RM100/piece.
How bout the durability? Will water get in?? Will the cover turn yellow fast?
I am aware bout tear and wear, but i hope it'll last at least a year before water gets in.
Too bad driving EG, else go for Type R headlamps.

i'm using taiwan made headlamp for my EK (also bought it for only RM120)...condition is still chun no water mark or crack...in terms of durability, i think it should last for a year or two...

aiyahh....only RM100 a piece wat you expect bro?

i got my ef sh4 new taiwan headlamps for rm135/piece... y is more exp than u guys? should b cheaper rite? arr... i think i kene potong already haha

should be around that price lar bro...RM100-RM150....

i bought from warehouse directly....

Hmm.... people always think so but actually some older models parts are actually more expensive due availability and scacity.

Planning to change mine too. Yellowish when i got the car. Guess the previous owner always leave/park the car direct under sunlight.

Other than quality & price, is there any other significant different between ori stanley and the taiwan unit? i have yet seen the taiwan lamp.

How much roughly the second hand unit price in chop-shop. If not much different, i'll go for the s/hand one...

gtmaniac,
i actually got the price from Takasuki in Jln Ipoh. 2nd hand original stanley are going for RM100/piece, same price with taiwan brand new. But at least brand new headlamps are in better shape, ie the mounts are still ok, sealant still new.

I'd have done the other way. Original headlight will last while the taiwanese version is crap. No offense.
