Dear friends,

So i have a normal digi cam at the moment. The more knowledge i have. the more i feel the limit. Like overiding autofocus, manual aperture etc.

Then i talk to few friends. Some of them are using D70. Now SLR has come to the picture. And so far average SLR i think should start with D50 and the big bro D70. Well im into Nikon coz, ive seen many good quality photo with D70. I know Canon makes some good product as well. But to cut the story short la lets focus to Nikon.

The problem is i dont have quite a steady stand. Tripod is the most important gadget for photographer. But sometime i wouldnt have time to take it everywhere, and i read about the IS (Image Stabilizer) like lumix.

Most of the modern digi cam has built in body image stblization. But for SLR Nikon(or any SLR), i read its not in the body but its in the lens it self. Is this true?
But also i heards lens are not to play play price also.
So if i use normal lens that come with it, i would probably will have a blurry shot one...

So can u please help n advice me on this. Pening kepala already.

hey, glad that you are into photogrpahy..
a little bit of y history.

i've been in photogrpahy for almost 3-4 years now..

starting as a small boy~...using his first 1.3mp compact flash Fujifim and then moves in to a 3.2mp Olympus and finally settle myself with a DSLR,Pentax *ist DL 6.1Mp.

For starter...i do not recomend you the D50 because of a few reasons.
-price
-quality

if you like to start and you have very low budget, you can actually try Pentax *ist DL cost about rm2.3k with 18-55mm lense.(you can check out all my photogrpahs)

althoughit has limitations but for starters...it's a no problem at all.

but if you have better budget..i'll recomend you to start straight with a D70.

regarding image stabliser in compact flash camera like Lumix.
DLSR can handle the problem with Shutter/aperture settings.

faster shutter can ahndle speed.slower shutter can produce magnificient images.
*you'll know more and undertsand more about it when you hands on.

don;t pening. photogrpahy is like 1 + 2=3

it's always logic unless you wanna twist the rules only.

keep it up. and be motivated

thanks alantan

actually mmg i interested in d70
already saving up for it too
hehe...
but thot of buying the vr lens later also
i heard its abt 4k the nikkor ones
