Hi guys,

I am going to test drive a re-cond DC5 Type R tomorrow, and am considering buying it. Can I have some advice on what I should check/look out for when I test drive the car?

Also, can anyone recommend a mechanic that I can bring there to help me inspect the car? Location is PJ.

Thanks a lot in advance.

look at the rpm me, after warm up, the rpm should b stable at 750-800rpm, the engine won't vibrate hard, turn the steering, should be smooth & no kuk-kuk or tak-tak feels or sound. check the wiring, is it been modified b4, while the interior parts, no blood inside... hehe... the engine sound must smooth & very silent... other than that, most of the things u'll change or mod too... so, not important. if u don't how to take note that it's meet in accident b4, i can't help with just some words... thanks.

Eh blood inside hard to check cos red recaro seats :p

So far I heard the rpm idling was good, constant 800 even after tapping on the throttle.

However, during idling, I can hear the tappet sound, it's not VERY loud, but very audible. This is right after the engine warmed up and the auto-choke turned off.
Is that normal? Or is it a sign of something's wrong?

Thanks a lot!
