Hi all..

I am currently using tokico Macpherson type front absober with apexi lower spring from SS (17" rim). My prob is the rim will hit the fender and the absober will bump finish "hearing knock sound" in uneven road.

Previous was using KYB new SR special SS and the same Apexi lower spring SS.

Any one know what is the problem? Is it spring or absober ? When I press like that, it seems like current macpherson setup in softer than SS setup.

pls help..

its new.

Is the problem with the SS spring ? Using it in Mapherson Abs.

vh-101 does the sound happen especially when you drive slow and turn even on flat road? and when naik bump?

on bumpy roads.. around 60km/h if the roads have a bump then will hav the sound.

MP strut should be mated with a MP's spring. If mated with SS spring, you will get a ride height that is lower than manufacturer's specification. That is why the problem happening.
Changing back to MP's lower spring would be able to resolve your problem.

I have following collection, taken out from AE111 Levin:
1) Modelista lower spring (front & rear) + Modelista rear suspension.
2) TRD lower spring (front & rear) + TRD Waydo front suspension.

I will put it in the "Fore Sale" forum after i taken out the TRD spring from my car.
