Hello guys

Hi, this might sound way out of topic, but im getting a Perdana SEI 99 soon...

I am so interested to convert my Black Perdana 1999 into VIP style..

The 1st thing i would like to change is the rim to 17" rims..
1st thought was having a chrome rims, but a friend of mine in US told me chrome rims is for niggas raping which is quite common and Black rims polished lips with deep dish is popular there and it'll make the car looks wider..When the rims spin, ithe polishes lips looks beautiful...

Base on what i read in the forum, they said Klang Jln Kapar is the cheapest rims available which is the orange shop and Jooi Seng. Is that true?

Secondly i would like to change is the absorber or the spring, base on my homework, for perdana they'll prefer using Monroe Reflex absorber or Koni, but some of my friend told me just to change the spring to sport spring..Any recomendation what to do and the price?

Third, i would like to change the bodykit and lamp to Alfadana with chrome at the tip..My main concern here is I am clueless about the price of the bodykit..

Next i would like to change my exhaust pipe to twin pipe on both sides...and finally tinting the window..Back 5% black and the rest Sun Guard i assume..

I am actually kind of fresh into these things, i've done few homework for the past 1-2 weeks...Pardon me of my English and my experiences...

I'll appreciate if you guys out there can guide me to convert my car to a VIP look...

p/s: Budget and Simple..

Thank you :X-:

hi mate...im not too sure about putting those spinner rims going to be VIP style!? its more like bling bling man...if u have a look through the thread, we are more in Japanese style of VIP cars...if very different from the american. get 18" if u want VIP. 17" is more sporty...

for taiwanese rim, yes...Jooi Seng and Hing Leong along Jln Kapar. Their tyres also very affordable.

as for suspension, if u want comfort, get Eibach prokit with standard abs. but it wont be very low. gonna cost u around rm1k. if u want super lowered, get something like GAB, Eibach Sportline or better still, adjustables like Titan or hotbits. but the ride quality wont be as comfort as stock. be prepare...

as for bodykit, try the marketplace...there r few ppl selling v6's kit. as for the exhaust tip, any exhaust shop should be able to do it with ease. this is same with the tint...acc shop or tint shop. get few quotes and compare the prices.

Yo...

Thanks David and Bangkai...

Btw im not intending to put a spinner rim, maybe i mislead u guys..haha..Not the rim spin that the rim looks nice, actually the tire spin then u can see the polished lips clearly and cool...

Is there anyone out there who got a contact for v6 bodykit? or is there any bodykit which looks like a VIP style especially the "clean looks"...

Thanks again..

US DUB Style = Bling Blings with spinners and floaters. Basically it's huge american/euro (SUVs and etc) cars on huge rims

Typical VIP Style = Huge, deep dish rims with crazy offsets. on Japanese/euro cars

EXE Style = A more subtle VIP inspired style. Very executive look. Still the same, huge wheels on big cars...

Comes to think of it, there's seems to be a trend here, eh?

Yo

SENTRAVIP,

Hmm interesting, i hope someone can post some pictures of EXE ...Btw what is an offset? Sry..like i said im very new into this...but i have few friends are teaching me right now, both of them US but just one playing VIP...

Btw example of EXE is it like = Merc, BMW ?? Brabus etc

Anyway currenly im studying about cars and VIP, will mod my car near end of the year.. after fully allocate knowledge into my head..

offset = wheel offset

Wheel Offset, Rear Spacing and Wheel Measurement

Rear spacing (or backspacing) is the distance between the wheel's inboard edge and its mounting pad. It can be measured by using a ruler and a straightedge set across the backside rim of the wheel.

Offset is the distance from the wheel center to its mounting surface. To find offset, plug the rear wheel spacing and width into this formula:

Offset = Rear Spacing — Total Wheel Width/2

For international VIP forum, you can check out www.vipstylecars.com

For local forum, check out http://vipstyle.1.forumer.com/

You can get VIP styling magazines at KLCC Kinokuniya bookstore. Same goes for EXE.

EXE doesn't mean specifically euro cars. Lexus and Infiniti (Japanese makes) also considered as EXE.

Nice ride joeker,

Toyota Corona, rite? It's a FF car. Very potential VIP styling there!
