ok i'm sure a lot of u experienced this b4.. everyday i'll a bunch of unknown ppl sending me some files which is always around 40kb.. n i'm sure its a virus file.. this virus is oledi spread to lots of ppl.. where whoever open the file their mailbox will get infected by the virus n everyday the infected mailbox will send out the virus file automatically to everyone in the address list n also to other ppl who is not in the address list..

u know y it spread so fast? cos when ppl get their frens email they won think much about its a virus or watever.. they'll open the file then they get infected as well... n the funny thing is i got my own mail address sending the virus file to my bulk folder.. damn it..

anyone know how to clean this virus?

not too sure....

i set norton to auto delete any virus entering the system.
though for me nowadays i format my OS hdd around 6 months once

gmail filter is quite good.
most my emails are re-directed there.
then i download to my hdd via gmail pop.

Nowadays most of the email provider do have anti-virus/filter built-in in their system which will detect and clean the mail before it reached your mailbox or allow you to download to your desktop

i know the filters are quite good.. these files r all sent to the bulk folders.. but then how do u prevent ur own mailbox sending out the file containing the virus to other mail? this is wat the virus did.. it send out virus file to other ppl without ur notice..
