How about a new coupe to replace the Putra

confirmed it has VVT. i'll post some evidence...he he i mean data.

VVT technology is actually pioneered by those european makes . while the VTEC and i-DSi is nothing compared to what alfa romeo who did it and pioneer it during the early 80' . while the CVT technology was on european car early in the century , almost ages . even the adaptive headlamp that can swirl is pioneered by citreon in the old days , same goes to the active steering that has gears and ratio which is also pioneered by citreon . their heavily investment , i mean citreon brought them down into financial crisis becasue not much ppl are getting used to the technology .
Japanese are those car manufacture who are usually show off .
while the european are those car manufacture are those who invented but didnt show off .
this makes people misunderstood that the japanese are the pioneer in the engine stuff .

The Japanese are brilliant opportunists. They find good stuff elsewhere and reverse engineered it as their own.

Europeans however have many brilliant ideas and concepts but always plaqued with financial problems or narrow-minded views (not willing to share their technology to anyone else).

in terms of refinement , the european always the first .
not to mention lexus la . but typical japanese style is to have speed , better pick-up , speed and quality only .
but once u are trying to enjoy the car , it is no no . the handling always on the down side even that the car is powerful .

as u can see , the latest renault and the nissan are superb .
the 350Z i test drove was awesome . typical european feel , with japanese technology ,and japanese quality . great car .

wah, got ppl still interested in the waja 1.8 ka... interesting.

problems aside (farkin proton really mess up the car) the waja 1.8
is a great & fun car to own. mine already clocked almost 110k km
and its still great. i've never encountered any problems with the
engine...

the engine is from renault used by the laguna's... infact, the same
(modded of course) engine is being used by the Petronas BTCC
team in their Waja. the engine code is F4P

maintaining it is not expensive as ppl might think...
unless of course if u send the 1.8 to PE/EON in which they'll also mess
it all up. most 1.8 owners i know buy the parts elsewhere and
send their car to other sc for regular maintenance. Quasar is
able to service the 1.8 (engine & trannny)
