Strange these few days I seem to be picking up nails and screws like as if I am running on round magnets.

Anyways, Sat Morning, my 17" semi slicks got a nice big rounded philipes type screw, 1/4" in length. RM 10 to patch from inside.

THIS MORNING, my 15" got a tiny tack-nail. Cost RM5 for the wriggle worm.

Location? PJ/KL

Sighs... Anyone else recently with this issues? Maybe we should ask Mr Sammy Velloooo to go sweep the roads a bit more often. :baring_teeth:

maybe the latest james bond movie is filmed in m'sia...

*James Bond throws nuts and screws out of his Aston to get away from his pursuers*

XD

arrr.... my last puncture ah .. ermm ... during drift. past few months. now no more drifting. sold my car ody ...

In order the tyre can eat nails/screws easily is when the tyre is almost time to change. New tyre will not eat the nails easily, unless the road is full of them.

hmm.. haven encounter this problem quite some time oredi.. tat's bad bro.. bloody malaysia roads.. road conditions getting worst n worst day by day..

Can still rber time me got a 4in steel rod into my rear tyre (lucky me!) on the NS Highway...even the tyre shop guy could NOT believe his eyes when he pulled it out of that tyre later!!!
Should go in2 Ripley's Believe It or Not episode la...

That was years ago...only the other day me got a short but broken off philips head screw! Luckily this time it did not penetrate my tyre tread! Phew!

Mayb kyheng got a point there, huh? Abt not happening to NEW tyres? What do you guys think?

Well, we can do a simple test, when change tyre to new, change 2 front first, instead of changing 4. Leave 2 old tyres at rear, then do you normal drving. You will be surprise that rear tyre will tend to have more stones stuck on the thread compare to front new tyres. Then another question raises, front come first what, but why front don't have and rear have alot? This is the best advantage on new tyres.

ehhh but both my cars just tires less than 3 months ago la....

maybe my dad take my car go drifting at the construction site..??? kakakaka

my tire got big gaps between the treads, kind of those old school hot rod tire.. but not really lar..

always stuck alot of mud in there, and my parents always say me go outside steal mud/gravel.

never got a punture since the day i got my licence, tire over 3 years liau still okay never changed.

Feel somehow tread pattern also help to turn those screws/nails/whatever upwards into the tyre lo...possible, right?
Any1 read abt any research/stats in that field?

was in my (then gf) waja,i think i hit those manhole cover on the highway or a pot hole or smtg
then the inside of the tayar chipped
then i cruise all the way to my mech,(i was near there)coz it was drizzling
use airgun and change to spare
wahhahahahha

Shouldnt blame on the Road.. but ppl who use the Road or construction.. i mean its not like the Road is spitting screws and nails ...

touchwood... so far i've not experienced a puncture tyre yet.... after more than 2 years driving already....
