Which one EK3 or satria 1.6

Hot-hatch EK3 or Satria.

EK = Over priced, due to demand.
Satria = Everywhere also got but got big potential as EK

EK chick magnet ah ?? I think the chick will think the car is a attraction when they see the driver ... = P... so depend on you lor hahahha... EK is not a chick magnet, is a guy's head turner ... a bettle is a chick magnet dude .. haha anyway .. my 2 cent.

i will suggest you keep ur Satria 1.6, because you can anytime trasplant a Misu Lan Evo or Mivec engine into it. so why you consider buying EK3? myself driving a hatch Civic EG but i dont think i will go for EK3 as my next upgrade because the car is a same cetegory and some more ur Staria (or my EG) is a protential car to Mod anytime at Malaysia (Chop Shop)....

IMO, that is the kind of upgrading. changing from satria 1.6 to EK3 is merely swapping.

i would prefer to keep the satria, upgrade to MIVEC or 4G93 with GTI body kit. maybe spray to R3 black.

EK3s about a decade old but the prices look ridiculous.

yup, agree wif zan. Give it a nice R3 cosmetics and emblem, replace wears and tears, maintain a good service schedule and u will have a very reliable companion.

Mine, a 1.3 satria is already 6 years old and thank god i still dont have any problem. Not even a power window problem famous among proton users.

Invest money in anything profitable, but beware of "Skim Cepat Kaya"...heheh

Better buy satria la bro. cheaper n has varieties of engines to choose. either u wan it turbo or n/a. Spare parts oso tons of them. If ek3, how long u wan to use it. Max 4 years n after dat wil get a bigger car. Better use satria, mods it a little bit n after dat save money to buy BMW. Lagi best woooo!

For me i will choose EK3, because you will notice the car is more solid(tough) and smart(handsome) compare to Satria (no offence to Satria owner). EK3 fully made in japan and stil very famous modification on Japan now's day(you still can see it sometime in Option or SpecR mag so you might still see the future of modification), for Satria is something old (but it's true that you can still get a lot of spare parts and mod every way in Malaysia). Just very simple, you park both of the car infront mamak store (both car is stock), you will notice some people will take a look on EK3, but i don think on Satria(again no offence on Satria owner, it just my point of view), so from here you will see which car is still attractive and still in the trend. BTW i own a Wira and Civic EG, and compare both car i still love my stock EG

i still can get over the EK3 fobia, i'll just work hard to earn more money & wait for the EK price to go down..,.once the car hit 10years above...
this time i think load is not easy to approve, & buyer hv to pay cash.
this time price will go down.
i might consider to buy 1.
i'm happy with my NEO (NA) & classic mini (chick magnet) hahahahahahahah.
i do not intent to do MODs for NEO, as a proton is always a proton no matter how hard you MOD.just my words.....

.. well IMHO, it all depends on how much cash you have at the moment.
If you don't make a whole wad of cash (like me), just enough and comfortable, think of your long term future.. say 5 - 10 yrs and not be myopic (e.g. 1 - 2 years). A car will only be a car, and it's a depreciatable asset.. unlike a house.

..besides, a Satria is a pretty nice car. :)
save up.. "sikit-sikit, lama lama jadi bukit"
