Hey guys,

Well my car is as per topic 1997 model stock 4g92 engine with no mod at all.
Bout half a year ago i hav been having this idle issue, if i thrash my car the idle goes hay-wired...it gets stuck at 2000rpm and it does not go down, il have to restart the engine a few times t get it back to normal. If i take a normal drive with the aircond on i face engine dying issues because the idle fluctuates as in it goes below 600rpm at traffic lights...if the engine dies it would be awhile to get it started.I belive the throttle body is gone instead of servicing i thought of getting another one from maybe mivec's TB or what.So i need sum help with suggections for a better TB.
Thanks guys:burnout:

you can try old perdana(non v6) TB, you will feel the better respond when you driving

Well thanks for the info bro any other suggections? Mine is an auto tranny

sound like ur idling gear give u an unstable idling.
Replace the gear which is built in throttle body will help u to solve the problem.
Btw, Mivec throttle body is not suit for local engine as throttle body designed different.

boyzone, thanks for the reply.Well the mechanic said the the TB has to be replaced and it might cost RM900, which i think is not worth it.Well i will look in to this alternative too bro.I will check on my idling gear.

Idling gear kit only cost u RM20.
Another alternative way is to install FICD to replace on ur idling gear.

@boyzone
Bro can you explain more about the fast idle ctrl device...i have never used one
What i have to do fix this?

FICD = Fast idling control device.
Is from Toyota engine to control on air con idling.
Basically it a vacuum valve and to step up the idling when on air con.
So, most of the people buy a FICD to solve on Mitubishi poor idling.
The FICD vacuum valve have 2 wire, +ve wire is loop with air con compressor while -ve wire is to ground.
1 inlet and 1 outlet is ready on the FICD. just buy the T-join and hose join the inlet to the air box and outlet join to intake manifold.

Anyway, just look for expriance workshop, they will help u to install. Total cost around RM100 like that.
