I was considering pre owned e90s to buy. But through browsing and taking my time to really consider everything to do with it, I began to think that maybe it won't be practical for me to own a pre-owned e90s in the long run (maintenance speaking).
This got me into checking the old school BMWs. Some said the old bimmers can be maintained / serviced by your own selves without much trouble, is this true? Here is what I am looking for:
-Not so expensive. (within 100k)
-Easy to maintain and won't drain my bank balance in the long run.
-Looks hot as fack and can be easily modified to look sexier.
-Sexy exhaust sound.
One final question though, what mileage should I reasonably expect? Thank you so much for your time.

On the other hand, if you wanna stick to your decision, the E39 5-series is not a bad choice. TopGear says this could be the best 5-series ever. Price range is from RM35k to 90k, depending on year/model/condition. With proper 18' or 19' wheels, good paintjob and M bodykit, you'll certainly turn heads around. If you could get the 400bhp V8 powered M5, that will simply be awesome..
