:top:Tyre Specialist bro...really salute..:top:
225-45-17
Conti CSC5 - RM 520/pc (malaysia)
Toyo C1S - RM 510/pc (japan)
245-45-17
Conti CSC5 - RM 880/pc (German)
Toyo C1S - RM825/pc (japan)
Bro., in 45 series aspect ratio, why still looking at comfort performance Toyo C-1S, should be looking at the T-1Sports.....
Old man's car. he wanted something quite. but im unsure how "noisy" a T1-S compared to C1-S.
further to that, T1-S only available in 225-45-17 only. asked many shops around.. they dont have it.
reluctant to "rojak" front/rear.. ended up all in C1S. pretty quite tires rated at 300/AA/A.
Oh! C-1S is quiet tyre and comfy too.....Look at thread pattern, they are very fine. not huge blocks...

i preferred the T1S thread patterns.. but i guess i got it spot on with the C1S.
quite, comfy and affordable.
dont talk about michelin! crazzyyy![]()

Actually it is the T-1 Sports, There is another model of Toyo called the T-1S, actually the older model before the T-1R came out, both are directional. T-1 Sports is asymmetric in pattern, and with most the pattern looks almost similar. eg. Continental CSC5, T-1 Sports, Michelin PSS, Falken latest FK453 (coming), GY Asy2 and so on.....
Michelin is premium tyre mah! so it is premium priced too.....![]()

pardon me taikor. yeah i was talking about the toyo T1Sport not the T1S (never knew existed).
well, my question is.. how good michelin is and how bad can a toyo/conti/GY be?
i got shocked the kedai told me.. 225/45/17 already in RM8++ bracket.
i have bough a pair of Toyo CS1 205/45/17 to replace one of the damage front right tire, these tires indeed much comfortable and quiet than my previous GY Eagle D5, traction and grip i think Eagle D5 is better but much noisier. Price is RM 445 each, good price?

T-1S already replaced with T-1R so most may not know of it.
What model of Michelin that cost RM8++ for 225/45R17? I know PS3 is in the RM6++ and PSS I don't think they have this size?
In the past when they had PS2 for 215/45R17 (my size) it was already in the RM7++ region where at that time most of GY, Yoko, Falken tyres that I was using were only at RM380. I know the PS2 are great tyres but if the others are 80 to 85% of the PS2 then at half the price they are still worth it, right?

That is because C-1S are comfort performance and F1 D5 are UHP category.....![]()
Was that true? I bought PS3 of the same size for less than RM500 early this year. You typed wrongly uh?

the quoted tires was michelin PS3. the taukey said michelin already increased their price twice this year. well, i find it abit :stupid:, thats why ended up with those toyo C1S.
So means actually PS3 is not so good after all? Cuz lower quality than PS2 and yet PPS only comes in 18"? hailat la...my
car how to put 18"
But PS3 anyhow should dwell better than Michelin XM2 gua...cuz I still don't feel very secure with XM2. It got grip but feels like
somehow the car is kinda not so grippy at the rear... a very little bit tail happy at the rear...not sure la..have to really test it out.
But overall I would rate XM2 as Grippy enough to have a safe drive...not meant to whack corners like semi slicks anyway...
