Tire Price list Zth

If 18 inch so cheap. 16 inch how much? :stoned: Would like to know how long it can last for daily drive

16" in what size? As mentioned certain models may not have. Like HPY models start from 17", so 17 and 18" then no problem....

Oh...damn! Got to change rims to try it 17"
I guess more better tyres are usually 17" and above...more choice of rims too :frown:

Mine is 205/55/16 XM2 currently

Yes, if you look at the car industry, used to start with 12" rims, then 13". Then 70 series is considered low profile already. As the OE rims now started to go with 14" and 15" some even 16", Ultra low profile have gone up to 17".
Having said that, 205/55R16 is common size. Champiro HPX have in your size, but not sure of the price (have not asked before)
Archilles ATR Sports have your size, ATR 2 also starts in 17" woh......

Oh most UHP tyres are 17" and above:banghead:. I am thinking to downgrade to a wide 7jj to 8jj 16". Dilemma.

Got one member Original 215/45R17 change to 205/55R16, now itchy want to change back.....some more rims also sold off already......

Can go 17" why go 16" la...If can the bigger the better...just too bad my car not suitable only LOL!. The most can only go 17" but
don't want to sacrifice lost in performance. So, remain 16" since car is stock

Actually is correct overall diameter change from 215/45R17 to 205/55R16. He mention use the car more at the construction site, so better have 55 series then 45 series aspect ratio.....

Yup, HPX is directional. Latest is HPY asymmetric in pattern, Y speed rating.
One more coming, I think should be UHP1, nice asymmetric pattern but W speed rating.....

Yes, sometimes can get something cheap and relatively good.....

I tried to source for GT Radial Champiro HPY in Klang & part of Klang Valley areas but unfortunately, can't seem to get any of the regular tyre shops that I came across. Therefore, I went down to Klang to purchase a set of Yoko AR1 from there.

I'm running in the tyres nicely before my next outstation to East Coast (Kuantan & Kota Baru) for business trip. Muahahahaha.....

Yah! a few others also mentioned difficult to source for them, as most tyre shops don't have them in stock.

Take a slow drive, you reach Kuantan run in already, then can test rural route to K.B......:driver:

Made inquiry to Heap Joo, the distributor. Was asked to check their website, no dealers in Klang woh!

Dunlop should be under Continental in Malaysia, as probably won't bring them in. Hope some parallel imports comes in.....

Bro vr2turbo, can i suggest something for the forum admin? Make the complete list of tyre prices appear on the 1st page and then you can update the pricing as new prices/tyres come into the market. That way, you wont always be busy answering questions about tyre prices and have more time to talk about tyre reviews and opinions. What say everybody? :captain:

Actually the Tyre price list topic should not have too much discussions. If have, should open new topic.
As per TS post and being done in AW forum, price contributions are all from members. Should just copy the last page, add in members contribution and post. This way new prices are updated.
Actually most of the prices I copy from AW forum where I am a member too, example as attached
205/50R16
Archilles ATR Sport - RM200 - PTS Setapak (Feb'12)
Goodyear F1 Directional 5 - RM390 Quicksave USJ (Sep 11)
Kumho KU31 - RM275 (take 4 pcs price RM250/pcs) - YL Auto Putra Height (Feb'12)

Michelin PS3 - RM508 Pusat Servic Tayar BH, Lebuh Medan Ipoh, Ipoh (June 12)

Size, model, price, from where and date.
After about a year or so, we will delete the old date as it may not be reverend anymore.

Okay this way?

195/60/R15 - RM355 (2012)

215/60/R16 - RM540 (2012)

245/45/R17 - RM885 (2012)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
OFFER TYRES

I always wanted to suggest the same, I suggest we have the latest list of tyres in the front page, then everyone just update or add in there if there are prices that they discover.

That way, everyone will know where to get cheaper tyres and nearest to their place.
