Toyota Vios VS Honda City

I guess most girls are the owner of Mirage that I see on the road. The manual one is not even available to test drive from what I was told by my colleague.

 I don't have any source for that. wrong person to ask for those

Not sure how much is on wheels though. But definitely more than Vios? Since is only 108HP on paper

I know that the CVT is more fuel efficient than the manual. But I'm sure the manual variant is more fun to drive and gives better power. I assume the fuel consumption rate won't be much different from the CVT. If you're not living at a place with lots of traffic jam, then get the manual one is better since it's cheaper.

You people fail to realise the facts about these two cars :

Honda fanboys will diss and cuss at Toyotas.
Toyota fanboys will moon and swear at Hondas.

The the rest of us will just throw in the occassional Proton, VW and Nissan to spice things up.

Who the f*ck cares which car is better? Test drive both, like which one, buy which one. I hate both so f*ck them.

And f*ck Almera.

:thefinger:

But the public seems to have a good reception with the Almera. So many of them are around the streets.

Aiyoh...I asked you to Make Love, Not War, you end up f*cking here and there :biggrin:

Ok la ok la...set aside other cars pleaseeee....only Honda City and Toyota Vios to be discussed here. Those who own both of them could tell which one is better than the other at what aspect. Performance, FC, comfort, practicality, suspension, aesthetics, reliability, quality, chick takle-bility

I can only tell that the comfort level in City is better than Vios. I've ride before on Mercedes Benz C250 and the City somehow manage to give me a bit of the feeling of riding in C250 compared to Vios. That one I don't feel anything special.

Really? My brother-in-laws Vios is the not the latest face-lift one, just the first gen after the idsi/ivtec turtle shaped City. I don't find the 16" rims and stiff suspension comfortable at all. And handling is less than exceptional. The Vios on the other hand has pretty amazing handling considering it has a torsion beam rear and interior wise it's only good if you opt for the leather seat package. That lovely G range seat is pretty damn comfy with leather.

But ultimately comfort is relative. I find my own Wira a bit harsh but pregnant ladies who've been on my car are perfectly fine with it. Which is weird.

The new city suspension is stiff. I personally felt comfortable in vios more than city.

Hmm, I din't drive Vios or City before. But I've ride on Vios TRD and Vios J before. The City I ride before is the current generation one but before the facelift. I just felt that the City has less outer noise intrusions compared to Vios and I did felt that the ride was good. To me, this is how I felt. No disrespect here but that is just how I felt. Or maybe is because I only sit before on Vios's rear seats while I tried City on the front seats only.

I think u meant City bro?

But KL I see more City and Vios than Almera  1 think is that the Almera is people's
choice is because is much cheaper than either Vios or City. Yet inside is spacious.

So basically most family man or just a person who wants or need a better car than proton or perodua, would go for Nissan.

I drove the IDSI 7-speed City before the old model. I ride in the older Vios and I think Vios is more
comfortable as the City suspension is a bit stiffer. New City and Vios havent got chance to ride
in one yet.

Actually, now that you mention it, the rear seats in the current gen City is more comfortable than the Vios one, with the exception of the Vios leather seats. The leather seems more plush making it very soft and comfy. The cloth ones compared with cloth City, the City is more comfy. But seating position in the rear for both cars is relatively straight with the City being more harsher on the rear suspension only.

Dude, everyone's entitled to their opinion. If you think City is more comfy then just backup your words with your own experience. We're just sharing our own experiences. No harm done and no issues sharing!

Anyway, ultimately neither of us have either car so we really should stop. Hehehe. I don't own either but have both in my family. Vios G versus City, I'd go for Vios G anyday.

New one I go for City  But my own preference haha!

WOWWWW... We have the same opinion. 3 of them, Almera is the most fugly one.

Amount of Almera in Ipoh is catching up quite fast. I think there are more Almera than new City already at Ipoh.

Alright. Maybe we have different views on comfort levels in both cars. As for materials used on the interior and the trim, I think City is better than Vios. The original speakers on City sounds nice too.

Hmm, when you guys are comparing a 3 way battle between Vios, City and Almera, why left out another japanese car at the same segment? Mazda 2. I've rarely heard opinions about that car.

SF : Right. Bro-in-law City, not Vios. Ter typo.

Renesis : Mazda 2 out performs both these cars man. Having driven the M2Hatchback with 16" rims and stock everything, it handles and goes like stink. But inside it's stink too... cheap feeling plastics, hollow bits everywhere and whats with the single monotone colour for everything? And it's damn small inside. I think about as big as the Swift and that's not saying much! Performance wise however I think it easily outclasses the competition.

Because Mazda 2 is not even nice if compare with Fiesta or Swift or Mirage

Means that Mazda 2 is good in handling but not in comfort and trim line qualities?

I find it nice (hatchback only not the sedan). It looks sporty enough but no manual transmission variant is available at here. I've seen pictures of it in manual transmission form. The gear stick is located on the dashboard. Reminds me of EP3 Civic Type R.

Actually, comfort quite good too. Trim is just bad. It even holds true for the much more expensive CX range of cars. The dashboard is a real letdown for these otherwise very good SUVs.

CX5's trim still looks good and CX5 is not overpriced... For CX9, that one really is a bit too expensive already...
