i been a truthful user of shell for like almost 3 years. sometimes i did fell slight different when using other petrol but i always ignore that until one of airtrek member found out during dyno.. now i stop, already get my mesra card.. im pouring in other than shell..

I've been Shell user since Bonuslink program was introduced. Only till 3 weeks ago I changed to Petronas. Doing good with it.

I used to be Shell loyal customer as well. But ever since used Petron Ron 95, I'm sticking to Petron with Smiles cards points rather than bonuslink which expires pretty fast and the things are priced at points which is ridiculously high to achieve within short period of time.

Find the car is more responsive compare to Shell, but gf is still using Shell since she find it more mileage with it.

No wonder they say Shell petrol now is shit. The only one I like is the Shell Ron 97 and Shell V-Power Racing when the fuel was cheaper back then I have been using RON 97 instead. Outstation use Shell VPR

But then back to topic, cuz I think petrol wont cost timing to drop right?

Normal street car drivers who wanna get from point A to B can use Shell. It really gives better mileage. But people like us who wants to get from point X to Z with loads of g-force fun, Shell is out of the story board. Hehhee...

Bad fuel can cause bad timing cos it will effect the plug combustion efficiency right?

Don't quite understand. Lower Ron easier to burn under compression, that is why can get engine knocking for high compression engine....

Lower Ron like 93 or 91. It's more difficult to burn under high pressure. Shell tends to add a lot of addictive into their gasoline to make it dry slower. So it somehow brought the Ron lower. Really bad for power production especially drag or dyno. Hope this explains. :wavey:

i think shell's ron95 is ron 95. but they put alot of chemical additives to ensure their petrol dried up slower than other brands. maybe it somehow lower the ron to ron94 or ron93 due to the chemical additive i think...
