Bernard finished fixing already? That was fast
Currently it should be undergoing engine balancing. He told me the crankshaft was ready last Monday.

I'd actually be interested to know the limits of the cvt. The Inspira and Sylphy share the same CVT system, the difference only being the oil they use. I'm quite tired of testing so many turbo cars and going back to my boring ol' econobox which isn't really economic since I get 8 to 10 (max) km/L FC.
for 2008 Lancer GT, the CVT model is made by JATCO, JF011E or something like that. I was educated by the North Americans on this info. If our Malaysian Lancers are equipped with this model, the gearbox itself should able to withstand 24 k/gm to 29 kg/m torque without too much issues. One must remember to bolt on additional CVT oil cooler to keep the temperature down. Heat is the main killer of CVT gearboxes. Before BOT your Inspira or Lancer CVT, you must make sure your CVT is really healthy, as well as your engine.
Sounds really serious, but hope the pistons didn't slap on the engine head. Is the block itself still ok?
One fact i heard, people boosted their N/A engine usually end up blowing up their motor. Apparently turbo boost surge can happen. That is why until now i refused to turbocharge my 4B11 N/A eventhough Speedworks offer a turbokit. The 4B11 N/A compression ratio is kinda high for boosting. The maximum boost pressure it can tolerate is only 0.5 bar. More than that may results to blown motor and worse, blown CVT gearbox.

29kg/m isn't a lot. Oh well. Gonna keep dreaming up 6 random noms for Sports Toto draw
Do you mean BOT boost on N/A engine. If yes, sure loh! N/A parts are not meant to be boost and yet people go more than 1 bar on them sure to go kaboom. My standard turbo only 0.6......lol![]()
. If going to spend all the money to build the internal, i will just buy a Ralliart engine + SST or Manual gearbox then call it a day. It is a straight swap.Oh of course i meant BOT.. Nowadays the boost of standard engine are much higher already. Mine is old great great grand father engine and the boost is set at 0.6 only......![]()

Evos had std boost for 1 bar or more for a very long time already, since CN9A if not mistaken.

Since CE9A EVO III if not mistaken, CE9A has 270ps as standard after improving the cooling system. Now this might start a flame war, i think EVO IV is the most standout character among other EVOs.
EVO III's stock is at 0.7 bar only

Stand out in what aspects? Looks, or performance, or? If based on looks, Evos from III to VI TME all look pretty outrageous with the IV, VI, & TME being the most outlandish IMHO. If you mean about performance, then the TME is the most hardcore. The IV was quite a game changer though with the AYC & ACD introduced for the first time and that look was so outlandish with those huge fog lamps!
For me the most stand out I'd think is the TME with it's RalliArt stripes, white rims, so aggressive front and the most hardcore performance of them all, basically a street legal rally car for real! As for my favorites, I like the CT9A generation Evos the most as they look a bit subtle.![]()
You could increase a little bit if you wanted to![]()

As a kid, i really liked the IV looks and aura it carries by just looking at it. Most likely my views were influenced by the very popular Initial D Emperor's Evo IV, which has a "monster" sticker on its hood. And also from Jackie Chan's movie in 1996, "Who Am I". CT9A gen are nice, i really like the VIII front look, especially the diamond logo embeded on the front bumper itself. 9 has never crossed my mind due to its toned down looks for cooling and aerodynamics.
