Hi guys. Would like to learn from you guys on car care.

I have a 2009 Lexus GS300 which I have been driving since 2016. It has served me well and I love the comfort that it gives me.

However, the leather seat needs a major overhaul - since there are tears, cracks etc.

I intend to keep the car for a bit longer to continue to serve me - but I will need to fix the leather seats. I would like to keep it as close to original as possible - so no fancy colours / patterns. Just simple black leather with emphasis on comfort.

Have any of you done this kind of project such as repairing / replacing the leather? Any advise?

thanks in advance.

Well it depends on your current leather condition. If already cracked and dried out, it is better to redo the whole thing. Go to those car seat repairer, let them have a look and ask for advise. Ask around for the price and compare. Be advised that there are many types of leather quality and prices.

Thanks. Yes, the leather is pretty cracked and dried up. I plan to do the whole thing. looks like the range is around RM5k for whole rewrap (remove old leather and rewrap all the seats).
