someone said brake stoppers dont give a much difference...
so..which one to upgrade brake first...steel braided or brake stopper?
aiyooo...sudah pening la skarang....hehehehe
Hmm.. I think my answer was a little vague.
if you expect BETTER braking power.. pads are the answer, or bigger rotor/caliper.
If you want
better feel/modulation, braided lines and brake stoppers.
There's a difference there. If your rotors aren't that big, there's no way but using harsher pads to increase braking power.. or change to bigger rotors.
Now, if you changed brake lines and hoped for increased braking power.. I don't think you'll feel it, nor with brake stoppers. People talk about the brake hose expanding, but you should really check how much pressure they can stand, and how far is the critical point.. It does, but it's so minimal... you think you'd see your stock brake hose expanding by 1mm+ by the adverts. :P
Personally, I think braided hoses are better at withstanding heat, which is why it has it's uses, but I'm thinking twice about the expansion ability, since you probably have noticed that the braided strands are expandable, and no prizes goes to the guy who notices what's inside the braids.. the same hose as your stock unit, perhaps?(although probably smaller in size)
The stocks are thick, because they're overbuilt to last.. :P
Oh, if you're still running the original brake servo unit, change to a double layer one.. that's loads better than stock.. less pedal travel too.
Depends on what you're aiming for... if better braking power.. look elsewhere than braided cables and brake stoppers.
There's a reason why 99% of track day racers don't use the stock pads, other than the heat issue. :P
Or why brake pads can exceed the price of braided cables and brake stopper?
Ask chris2000 why he's using aftermarket pads on his car, for instance.. :P
Well, that's my 2cents.
