How To Retake Control Of Oversteer Skid
Do you ever drive in slippery conditions get going a little too quick, and realise that you are about to lose control of your car? This article will present how to regain control in an over-steer situation.
Step One
Over-steering is when your car's rear end starts to get out of control. It will feel like it is steering into the direction of the turn more than you wish, to the point that you will turn around.
Step Two
Know your car, as soon as you feel that you are starting to skid, before it is out of control, you will need to correct slightly your steering to go against the turn. So if you feel you are turning left too much, rectify your trajectory going straight or slightly right.
Step Three
Right as you start to make direction modifications press on the gas to shift the weight of the car to the rear wheels. You see over-steering is caused by a loss of grip to the rear wheels. By accelerating you are bringing the weight of the acceleration to those wheels which will gain new grip.
Step Four
The steering and weight shift should get you back if you are not driving too fast.
