i've tested the product. It's been worth money buy here. Effective and tested abt 1km..it works..

Bro, you tested 1KM effective distance with or without blocking in between?

Coz I tested with my car parking at at level 2 and my friend holding the receiver at ground flr, it won't work.

I will test it again with 1KM distance without blocking in between and see whether it work. If not, I think it might be becoz of my unit having some problem lor... If yes, then I think the effective distance drop drastically with blocking in between.

Tan, the receiver will not sound the alarm immediately. It will wait a few seconds. This is so that the car owner got enough time to unlock the T-Rex with the key.

Have you tried a short range like standing outside your car and activating the alarm? See that this works before going a longer distance.

Hi Bernard, yes I tested with short distance (just outside the car) and it work fine. As per the manual, once it is triggered, it will take 10 seconds before the transmitter (T-Rex) sound the 110db alarm inside the car and signal the receiver (pager), this is to allow the owner to unlock the T-Rex. So, once the T-Rex sound the alarm mean its > 10Secs and it should signal the receiver, correct me if I am wrong.

Anyway, i will try again with long distance without blocking to confirm the unit is ok.

P/S: During my testing, I open the door, and wait till the T-Rex sound the alarm and then I will call my friend to check is the pager sound or vibrate.

Did you test it out with the same scenario?

2KM ranging is just a number. But if 1km not working meaning there are some noice level blocking the bandwidth at that particular area.

Try a open car part area and see how.

Just a few days ago I was at Gurney Plaza...parked at B2..went to karaoke at B1...car was quite a distance away..suddenly in Karaoke..alarm went off like crazy...

Ran to car saw everything ok. Tried it again at Gurney plaza B2 and I went to 2nd floor. Soon after again alarm went off but car nothing. Think the area got some frequency that triggers...just FYI for the PG boys.

Hmmm, strange. Chris, did the steering lock sound out an alarm as well?

Just to share ....sometimes the type of tint flim used on ur car window also will affect the signal travel distance .....in short ..better Tint = worst Distance for Signal distance transmission.

FYI, I tested at another location where I park at ground flr and I am at Level 3, and it works .

Hmmm.......maybe as what Soundstream said, it might be due to interference at that location, causing the signal unable to travel that far.

Anyway, am now very satisfied with the T-Rex.

P/S: FYI, previously it was tested at Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre, KL.

That means someone kicked your tyre or there was some vibration that triggered all your alarms.
