stock blacktop 20v rev limit

hi guys,

need some information on the rev limit. i have searched high and low for the correct information but everyone seems to give me differing answers and i hope you sifu's can clear the air for me. what's the rev limit for the stock 20v blacktop (both soft cut and hard cut)? reason i'm asking is because i'm using back the original 1.3 meter that only revs to 8k rpm. will it then be necessary to get a rev meter? thanks a bunch!

we are not able to tell you the exact number. because it varies.
roughly it's around 8000 +/-. you know.

me oni 7.5k rpm when hot.......:-) to be safe...shift ur gear when reach RPM7.5k...if not ur engine will blown...:-)

6sp = 8300k

Some 6sp rev cut at 8500k ((with stock ECU), dont know why, too many thing installed, dont know caused by which item

we always do not list down THINGS in here, we only share it during TT, cos we all scare 'some kind of ppl' will break our window glass after they found the thing they interested. sorry bro...

hahaha, dont get me wrong bro, wat i meant was, inside d engine bay (engine parts)...... such s cam, cam-pulley, xtractor, fuel regulator, air-intake system, flywheel n clutch coz now im considering to upgrade my stock engine, wanna compare wat ppl usually use on their car :-)......

fyi & sake of sharing, my SVT with almost avthing stock has tried once rev till 8599rpm (rsm reading) on 2nd gear at minor down hill road ~ yet not cut. however, d record only happened once and being history nowadays. it is unable to reach d said record anymore. d max. rev able 2 achive after tat is 6800rpm.
