Opinion: RE Club Malaysia Forum

Dear all RE Club Members,

Further to our committee phone conversation we would like to make a poll here to get members opinion.

Shall we move Official RE Club Malaysia Forum onto a diffrent host?

Opinion needs from you.

1. Stay with ZTH but have our own forum moderators (assigned by Admin) managing the RE forum.

2. Migrate entire threads here to MyJSOC.com (RE Club Forum already exist).

3. Start a new forum in Autojunctions.com.

4. Others - Please specify.


Note:

Poll No.2 may have some technical difficulties due to different format.

Poll No.3 We can start a new forum in AJ.com, copy all the stickies from here.

i suggest we speak to the administrator first. I am all for a better intergrated forum but it is a matter of courtesy.

i would suggest a standalone forum. there is no promise this would not reoccur elsewhere.

i'm sure someone is willing to provide the funds for hosting and a good php forum hosting scripting system for dave's suggestion...

not a problem if thats whats needed. As i've said earlier, i do not see any good of going elsewhere unless its on our own. Before we do this though its best to speak to Tom and look at solving this problem of unwanted "moving" of threads etc. Afterall ZTH is established and the number one automotive forum in Malaysia.

Totally agreed. Tom has done a fine job building ZTH.

No doubt Tom has done a excellent job on building the ZTH, the Top automotive website in Malaysia. Kudos to Tom. I greatly appreciate his work and support.

I hope Tom can only give us the authority on moderation the RE forum. Other moderators should seek for advise from Tom or RE moderators before Moving or Deleting our RE related threads.

RERider, just to clear some thoughts here. We, as mods are told by Tom to move buy/sell threads from every forums to the marketplace. :wavey:

chill bro RERider,those thread moved/deleted not to show disrespect of u or other assigned moderators but just try to follow the rules zth set earlier.not to say that moderator in this RE club not doing their job but sometimes assigned moderators are not around but other moderators saw it & take action.

with all my respect to Tom & other assigned moderators,i did proposed to Tom that we should have a sticky of Marketplace similar to car make section like toyota,honda & etc.And I did create these sticky except car club like MR2/MRS & RE club as they already have similar thread & they are feeling good with it.

previously car club does not have this sticky and many seller post sales thread in the car club,Tom wish to move those sales threads to marketplace to avoid the situation get worse like car make section.As far as i know,toyota section were full of sales thread & many member voice out that the forum was polluted.Sakuraguy come out with a idea of Marketplace sticky on each car make.

btw i guess we shall inform Tom bout this or make this in moderators section instead of discuss this here.

im not picking any arguement or fight here,it's just a discussion.

p/s am i qualified to vote even im not a RE driver?i wish u guys don't leave coz u all did contributed many info & effort to make zth grows bigger...:wavey:

guess we need to have a "Looking for" sticky for our RE member here,more convenient to look for parts,similar to toyota forum

for me,car stolen case post in related forum is reasonable.should just leave it...

hey all. I hope all is well with you RE diehards. Some of you may have heard I have relocated back to Australia as of June 2008.

I bought myself a 2002 Spirit R for RM75k with only 26,000kms ;-) I always said I'd return to RE hahaha, just not in Malaysia. This will be my track car for regular fun at Oran Park, Wakefield and Eastern Creek. Take care and all the best, Glen :cool:
