HU.. hu....white perdana with biggest mufler ?? gua punya perdana with 6a12tt pernah gak kejar evo kekadang bleh kejar, kekadang x bleh kejar bro.....hu..huuu..depend on EVO car modification lahhh maaaaaaaaaa....the moral off the story is...jgn kacau perdana turbo, bleh kacau if your EVO car betul2 macam pelesit.....

no offence, but u guys have to read fwd vs awd articles

FWD - lesser traction bottom end , lesser power lost on drivetrain
AWD - better grip for launching , track , more power lost on drivetrain

simple , if u put two 300hp evo and 300hp wiraevo on the track, the wiraevo 2wd will get whopped , but if u put both of them on the highway, bye bye evo :P , no offence, but u have more lost of power on the drvietrain and awd looses top end because 4wd is not needed for high speed. even most sports and supercars will disable the 4wd to a 2wd after a certain speed is achieved.

one more advantage is that modding the evo123 which is usually on the proton chassis is pretty simple and easy, even kampung mechanics have already know how to make them fast compared to later generation evo's :P , and if u run a FWD wiraevo , u have the advantage of gear ratio customizing with plug n play final drives of other mitsubishi transmissions , the AWD evo's are troublesome because modyfying the final drive on the front requires complusory for the rear too.

We cant do that, once spent is spent , that is what moves us to research and learn Sometimes we do not have money that we get our hands dirty , how many of you have opened up your own turbos ? how many have helped your foreman and stripped down your engines or even opened up a transmission to learn every bit of it , how many of u had oil all over ur face ? that brings us to learn efficiency range , pressure ratio , trim , clipping , compressor mapping , lift , duration at 0.050" , ramp rate , max lift , inducer , exducer , extended tips , BTDC , BDC , ATDC , lambda , AFR , ignition mapping , dwell time , BSFC , duty cycle , mix & match of engine internals , etc , no offence , but most evo users tend to rely on their mechanics to just do it for what they pay :) true ? u tell me if my experience was wrong, but dont worry , there were evo owners that knew alot and i enjoy talking to them.

i refer to above section, not about fwd and 4wd statement...i dont think the statement above related to fwd and 4wd, right?

just curious why u write all this? to teach SOME of the evo owner how to spend their money? teach SOME of the evo must get dirty their hand when they car send to service and repair? or u piss off with SOME the evo owner? oe u try to tell us u very hard to earn ur money? or just o show off what u know about car or engine?

ur point is good, get involve in repairing and know more about our own car, but not every one got free time stand there and see or get involve when the mechanic open up their engine.

ur statement about the power transmission for fwd and 4wd is true, but if compare with the original 4wd and modifed fwd, then that will be another story. have to consider the handling when doing highspeed, definately evo will better than those fwd turbo car. original evo can run to 250km/h but normal fwd u need to modifed the gear ration only can run untill that speed or even higher than that.

wht im trying to say is not about the money , but research , to know your own car atleast ? so many post, not a single soul posted facts , all that came out were plain chats , isnt it the rule to post constructively ? whts the big deal if a perdana turbo whopped the evo, the evo isnt a buggatti veyron to be so far compared. no, im not trying to teach the evo owners, im trying to say, dont jump and create a topic just to say u got whopped by a perdana turbo, atleast know the reason u got whopped, the pro's and con's of your systems , im not showing off here, im just saying and requesting a more knowledgeable and constructive thread discussion to be carried on , im a member of evolutionm , lancerregister & dsmtuners, just go see urself how a discussion is carried about, btw please calculate properly , the evo III gb has a final drive of 3.909 and the gear ratio of the 5th is 0.617 , with 205/4017 , u will be able to achieve 250kmh befor redline, thank you.
