I just install the alpine speaker which is mounted to the door trim. The door trim now vibrate when medium bass kick in.

What is the best solution to reduce the vibration?

i had that problem with my front speakers, just find some foam tape and wedge it where you it vibrates, you may need to utilise some stiff sponges too if the gap is too much to cover with foam tape...there you go :)

speaker mounted fit enough to door steel frame or not??

foam and doublesided should do their good...

The speaker was mounted to the door trim. When I open the door trim and the bass kick in, the door trim (plastic) vibrate.

How do I diy with foam and doublesided if the speaker is directly mounted to the door trim (I mean directly screw to the door plastic).

Someone in the forum also selling the insulator which is stick to the door trim to reduce vibration. Will these help?

u should screw the speaker on the steel door frame...or use longer screw for the screw to reach and hold with the steel frame....

that should eliminate the vibration mostly....

plus....the speaker can be hold tightly.....

had that problem before. although the speakers mounted tightly to the steel frame but it might hit the inner frame of the trim.

got superlon and it worked fine for me. cheap solution and u can DIY.

go to Daiso....buy those foam mats(those interlocking types ppl normally use for kids room - colorful types), measure the speaker outter rim n cut about half cm outside of the rim then cut the inner circle so it doesnt disturb the air holes for backside of speakers. then put those foam that u aredy cut as donut shape in between the speaker n the door mounting points n screw in tightly. those foam will get rid of speaker n door metal vibration n improve the mid bass delivery since no movement from the speakers all the area directly behind the midbass speaker is airtight. i'm using it rite now. RM10 for 2 pcs but the other day i saw they selling wider types so 1pc should be enough for 2 6.5" midbass. if u still get rattling its most prolly yr door panel's clips not holding on tight enuff...past some superlon(2-3mm thickness should be enuff since u dont want to stress the plastic clips locking mech) at the around the holes where the door panel clips locks will get rid of the rattling.

haha. nice. can imagine la what ur trying to say. but i didnt go to the extend of using those foam mat.
anyway.. small small grammar mistakes biasa la.

anyway.. just too add.. use a washer - rubber preferably between the screws and the frame for the speaker. custom made but u can find it at hardware shop e.g. the plug in the water tap.

Hi,
Thanks for the explanation. Is there a shop that sell this foam mat and superlon in KL?

Just go to the accessories/audio shop.. Sure they got it. If not try find it at ICE or interior @ marketplace. Cheers.

the superlon i have found that buying from acc shops very expensive...try asking around in upholstery shops instead..they normally keep a big amount and have a lot of cut-offs that they are willing to sell off cheaply. i get mine from there and i stuffed all my roof backbone with the scraps heheheh. huge reduction in heat from roof(also need to mention i have 16mm of superlon between my roof and the roof liner so that must play a part too hehehe)

I heard Jln Pasar sell lot of DIY stuff. Can I get all these item and diy myself?
I guess audio/accessories might have this and sell at higher price.

If this can be found in Jln Pasar, any specific shop is reasonable and has lot of stuff?
