Maybe coz the pattern looks aggressive & promising like the old F1 but price is cheaper. Maybe also because it's soft sidewall then comfortable for a so called high performance class tire.

Actually T1-R aquaplaning resistance is not bad, almost like the old F1, but it is the grip that is not good and sidewall too soft...

I think kena clip tail, what tyres also cannot help, because already lifted and lost traction....

t1r rubber compound is considered soft...with agressive pattern..

but since sidewall is too soft for performance tyre....so not really good also for track....

even in track if not mistaken a a lot people says after several lap already tyre not giving good grip..probably the compound overheated already and become mellowy soft rubber

Use T1-R on dry track is not good. T1-R grooves plenty means less rubber contact, probably it will be better if use on wet track....

Are you moving up to 195/55R15? If yes, then change 4 and trade in the 195/50
If keeping to 195/50, can buy one to match, since old one still have 85 to 90% balance...
