R888 is a very strong sidewalls tyres, not sure if its good for track and drift.

david,u mean the proxes r888 side wall is very stiff?well,from what i've know,
semi-slick tyre r built that way to cope with the hard cornering that the tyre

Have you got the number to the shop? Which tyre shop sells TOYO?? I have not come across a shop that has TOYO banners outside.

Comfy tyres have soft side wall...... Track tyres are ment to have stiff side wall, so that you can change direction easily....

hi lennon which bridgestone guy did u met. the re01r tyres will be available in july for other sizes. they are bringing in more sizes. listen guys why not you all try the new potenza adrenalin re001. it is a very good tyre for performance. go and ask for the price in hupshun or in klang. good buy good price good performance than ad07 . no matter dry or wet still better than ad07. if not you guys can try michelin pp2 or ps2. others no need to consider if you guys looking for performance tyres. toyo is a noisy tyre not good enough. dont be foul by the movie.

I already posted that Hup Shun selling 205/45/16 for RM385 but currently there is a shortage...so cant get them. I have been waiting for 6 months just to claim 1 tire. Now i have no choice but to ditch the other 3 tires and go for another brand.

Are you sure that the RE001 Adrenaline is better than the AD07?? By looking at its thread pattern it doesnt look too good to me. Looks more like a high performance tire rather than Ultra High Performance tire like AD07. I am considering toyo for its reasonable priced semi slicks...not because of some stupid movie. Please dont insult the purist.

kikaider, pls note toyo 888 is semi slick ok. it is noisy for road use. re001 is a UHP tyres as well. try it then you know it is good. and one more thing a lot of ppl buy toyo is because of that movie.it really helps a lot for their marketing strategy. i didnt insult the movie. is just that is not that good like the movie ok. read carefully. go for michelin then if you got budget. if no go for the toyo or yoko. bridgestone is the best one no 1 in the world. try it then you know kikaider

I have reached the level in my driving that i can advance to semi slicks. At the moment i am only trying to shave more seconds off my sepang track time. The AD07 has helped me shave off many seconds from my previous street tires. I will be very dissapointed to end up getting a tire that does not meet the standards of AD07. Basically if you read from the beginning of this thread, i only want one piece of AD07 because of my defective one which i have sent for claim 5 months ago but they have no stock to return me a new one. So i have now decided to just ditch the other 3 tires and upgrade to semi slicks. I choose toyo because they are the most affordable semi slicks in the market other than Silverstones which dont make 16". I aint no pussy, road noise does not bother me, as long as i can clock one of the fastest times in my class. Gesto, i would like to know if you have tried a performance street tyre and a ultra high performance tire on the track. On the street, any tire will suffice, but on the track its very critical. An ultra high performance tire(like AD07) can shave off many seconds. Please note that when i say purist, i am refering to me, not a stupid movie.
