To all respectable altezza member here;
i need some opinion for this matter, what after market battery is available for altezza? I try to find the factory specification few years back ( 55D23L ) but no avail. Therefore i switch to nearest one ( according to some mechanic ) ranging from NS40L to NS60L battery. I notice even my grounding is enough but i feel there is some loss of power when starting. (Maybe it just in my mind set since the spec is different with the factory one :stupid:).

But then, i have been changing the battery 3 time in last 2 years. Sometime the battery just working fine today and tomorrow it snaps. My question is.

1. is my OEM battery spec 'tepat' or not?
2. what is the effect in performance if the battery used is not like the factory one
3. what brand of battery should i use since i encounter lot of battery with cap ayam
brand

Thank..hope to hear from you you soon..

1. not sure, but NS60L, NS40L should be sufficient. (i'm using Century NS60L dry-type, just changed last month, my prev batt was a cap-ayam-brand NS60L wet-type)

2. don't play play man.. wrong batt spec might cause prob with cold cranking. the spec must at meet at least the minimum CCA (cold crank amp) required/specified by the car manufacturer (toyota). and it also depend on the climate. Cold climate might required higher CCA in order to have a smooth cold crank. google for it and u'll get what i mean. (cca between 300 to 450 shud be alright). read this -> http://hubpages.com/hub/Choosing-a-Car-Battery---Guide
other than the cold crank prob, ur car electricals might runs on wrong amp which not compliance to the electrical circuits/wirings spec (correct me if i am wrong), ended up frying the wires, or worse burn-wires -> Fire!..

3. any repututable battery brand would be fine (GP/GP-ATLAS/Century/BOSCH/Yokohama).. actually cap ayam also ok one i guess. heheh...
